Flexible Blade Or Carrier Therefor Patents (Class 407/29.11)
  • Patent number: 9044842
Abstract: According to this constitution, loading resistance and durability are excellent, there are no attachment materials attached to an abraded surface in the case where a flat surface is abraded, abrasion can be efficiently and evenly performed in a predetermined shape even though abrasion particles are not enlarged to perform abrasion or abrasion is not repeated several times by using particulates, and abrasion performance can be improved.

  • Patent number: 6939089
Abstract: A file holder configured to attach a prior art surform file to a prior art linear sander. The file holder includes conventional mounting means allowing it to be attached to the linear sander. A clip recess is provided on the file holder's first end. This feature is shaped to engage and hold the canted clip found on the first end of the surform file. A movable tensioning block is located on the second end of the file holder. It engages and holds the canted clip found on the second end of the surform file. Tensioning means are provided so that the user can adjust the tensioning block to place the surform file in tension. A chip cavity is located in the file holder adjacent the non-cutting side of the surform file. Ejection ports are provided in the side of the file holder. These allow chips collected in the chip cavity to escape the file holder.

  • Publication number: 20040234346
Abstract: A flexible file system for providing abrasive files that can be used for wood or metal working that can be supplied in different sizes, stiffness and with different types of abrasive surfaces in different cross-sections. These flexible files can be attached to form a web that can be loaded into a dispenser either on a spindle or folded for easy dispensing of files as they are needed. The dispenser can have optional blades for separating the files as they are dispensed. Various methods can be used to attach the files into a web for easy dispensing and later separation including attach strips with cut or break points.

  • Patent number: 6695547
Abstract: A rasp blade 200 has cutting teeth 130, 132, 134, 136, 140 arranged along the outer perimeter of the blade and having a variable radius. The radius is raised for the teeth 130, 132, 134, 136 at either end of the blade. The radius is lower for the teeth 140 at the center of the blade 200. The radius variation is determined by the rasp blade cutting diameter and the angle that the blade 200 is to nest on the end plate of the hub assembly in which the blade is used. The blade may extend from 30° to 90° with the preferred sizes being 45° or 90°. At least three apertures 148 are provided in each blade to ensure that the failure of any one pin holding the blade in the hub assembly does not result in catastrophic damage to the hub assembly.

  • Patent number: 6585458
Abstract: A file adapter for a motor driven workpiece cutting tool comprises a power head reciprocating an elongate file coupled to a ram-rod reciprocated thereby on a forwardly projecting axis. The adapter includes a forwardly extending member carried by the power head of the tool and positioning a resistance means for engaging and downwardly pressing the top face of the file forwardly of its coupled engagement to the ramrod. The file is a second class lever with its fulcrum coupled to the ram-rod and its resistance pressured at said resistance means when its cutting means forcibly engage a workpiece. The resistance means preferably comprises a roller on a transverse axis spaced above said forwardly projecting axis and with a periphery thereof engaging and downwardly pressuring the file.
