  • Patent number: 9061667
Abstract: The invention relates to a hydraulic piston pump, particularly for a slip-controllable vehicle braking system. A piston pump according to the invention includes a hydraulically permanently permeable stopper, the throughflow of which is carried out as a function of the pressure in an outflow channel of the piston pump. A pressure medium flow only takes place if the pressure level in the outflow channel has exceeded a threshold value. The latter takes place, for example, if the kinematic viscosity of the flowing pressure medium decreases due to low ambient temperatures, or if a throughflow of the outflow channel is obstructed. By means of the proposed solution, excess pressure increases in the interior of the piston pump can be avoided, and the resulting loads for the pressurized pump components and the drive can be reduced. Otherwise, the operating behavior of the piston pump according to the invention corresponds to that of a known piston pump.

Abstract: In the rotary type cylinder device, a first crank shaft is revolved around a shaft and a composite piston assembly is revolved around the first crank shaft in a state where first rotational mass balance relating to first and second piston units around second virtual crank shafts, second rotational mass balance relating to the composite piston assembly around the first crank shaft and third rotational mass balance relating to the first crank shaft and the composite piston assembly around the shaft are uniformly produced by only first and second balance weights which are attached to end parts of the first crank shaft. Therefore, first and second piston units, which are attached to the second cylindrical sections, are linearly reciprocally moved in radial directions of a circular orbit of second virtual crank shafts, which has radius of 2 r, with relatively revolving around the shaft.

Abstract: The present invention teaches providing heating elements into the nose of an intermediate distance piece of a cryogenic reciprocating pump in order to warm the piston packing seals of the pump. The heating elements increase the temperature of the piston packing seals to limit deformation of the seals while the pump is in operation. In addition, a warm, dry vapor purge may be provided to the interior of the intermediate distance piece to reduce or eliminate rime from interfering with the piston packing seals.

  • Patent number: 8894384
Abstract: A multi-piston motor/pump is disclosed particularly useful for air motor applications incorporating a cylinder block having a plurality of radially extending pistons and cylinders. Each cylinder is provided with a bronze insert at the top of the cylinder having an intake and exhaust port therein. Rotary valves are mounted on an output shaft and include axial flanges having openings therein that align with the input or exhaust openings in each cylinder. As the rotary valves rotate, the openings therein sequentially align with the input/exhaust ports provided in the bronze inserts such that air or fluid entering each cylinder enters axially of the cylinder. A center mounting plate is secured to the cylinder block and separates the input ports from the exhaust ports to enable fluid flow into the input ports and exhaust from the exhaust ports while isolating each port from the adjacent port in each cylinder.

The head-side discharge chambers are provided in the cylinder head. The block-side discharge chambers are provided in the cylinder block. The outlet is formed through the housing. The discharge path is formed in the housing and refrigerant gas is flowed through the discharge path from the compression chamber to the outlet through the head-side discharge chamber to the block-side discharge chamber. After refrigerant gas flowed from the compression chamber is flowed through one head-side discharge chamber which communicates with the compression chamber and one block-side discharge chamber, the refrigerant gas is flowed to another head-side discharge chamber.

  • Patent number: 8721300
Abstract: A reciprocating compressor or pump features a manifold arranged not only to define a hollow interior for receiving fluid discharged from a plurality of cylinders but also to define a base or frame on which the cylinders are carried. Unique valves formed in part by flexible material reduces the likelihood of fatigue and increases efficiency by retaining less heat relative to conventional reed valves. A compressor or pump mounted at an end of a handle extending parallel to a motor housing likewise extending from the compressor or pump provides an easy to carry portable assembly. A fan mounted between a motor and a compressor pulls air through the compressor inlet to both cool the motor and feed the compressor. A portable tool system powers both pneumatic and electric tools. Connecting rod structures for radial compressors or pumps provide improved strength and easier assembly.
