Patent number: 11148323Abstract: A method for exchanging molds in a concrete products forming machine (CPM) comprises moving a first mold cassette assembly along a linear path to a mold receiving position adjacent to a concrete products forming machine. The first mold is then moved out of the CPM along a mold-transfer path perpendicular to the linear path of the first mold cassette assembly. The first mold is then mounted within the first mold cassette assembly which then moves along the linear path out of the mold-receiving position. The second mold cassette assembly, and pre-mounted second mold, are then moved along the linear path to the mold-extracting position. The second mold is then demounted from the second mold cassette assembly and moved along the mold-transfer path to the concrete products forming machine to effect a mold change within the CPM.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 2019Date of Patent: October 19, 2021Assignee: Columbia Machine, Inc.Inventors: Joseph Barnes, Stacy Gildersleeve

Patent number: 7465161Abstract: The invention relates to a device for compressing concrete during the manufacture of concrete parts. Said device comprises a supporting structure, a formwork device which is maintained by the supporting structure and a vibration decoupling device which is arranged between the supporting structure and formwork device. The vibrations required to compress concrete are produced by a vibration device acting directly upon the formwork device. In order to reduce noise emission, the mass of the supporting structure is selected in such a way that the intrinsic frequency of a system consisting of the supporting structure and vibration decoupling device is lower than the excitation frequency of the vibration device. Preferably, the formwork device, vibration decoupling device, vibrators and all electrical feed lines and connections are premounted, forming a module which can then be mounted on the supporting structure.Type: GrantFiled: February 4, 2005Date of Patent: December 16, 2008Assignee: Wacker Construction Equipment AGInventors: Richard Schulze, Holger Muth
