  • Patent number: 11584047
Abstract: A sealing member for a powder slush molding apparatus includes an elastomeric main body comprising a head portion, an anchor portion, and a neck portion extending between and joining the head portion and the anchor portion. The head portion of the sealing member defines at least one interior channel that is centered on a midline of the elastomeric main body and which has a polygonal sectional shape. The polygonal sectional shape of the at least one interior channel, and its location on the midline, permits the head portion of the sealing member to attain a measure of compressibility that helps limit the force needed to compress the head portion without rendering the sealing member too flexible that it cannot adequately retain its shape. The sealing member is useful in establishing a seal between a shell and a powder box of a powder slush molding apparatus.

Abstract: Methods and systems for fabrication of injection molded optical components. In one embodiment, a moldplate with cavities receives injected optical material within walls of the cavities. The cavities are designed with a geometric profile approximately corresponding to a optical profile of an optical element to be formed therein. When molten optical material is injected into the cavities of the moldplate, the injected optical material forms a meniscus due to surface tension between the optical material and the wall of the cavities. The meniscus thus provides a shape corresponding to the predetermined optical profile. The optical material is then rapidly cured with actinic radiation, and a desired optical element with high-precision dimensions is formed within the cavities of the moldplate. In some embodiments, the moldplate is spun such that the meniscus is adjusted to match the predetermined optical profile within a certain tolerance.

The air vibrators may be selectively activated during the cement pouring process to vibrate the concrete and substantially reduce or eliminate air bubbles and defects within the foundation. A pair of adjustable legs is attached to the form and allows the form to be positioned and supported over a foundation hole.

Abstract: A resin molding die has a molding surface formed of a low adhesion material formed of a solid solution of La—Y2O3 produced from Y2O3 and an other oxide of La2O3. La2O3 contains La, which has an ionic radius larger than Y3+, and is larger in basicity than Y2O3. The low adhesion material contains La2O3 at a predetermined ratio relative to a total of Y2O3 and La2O3. The low adhesion material thus has a large iconic radius contributing to a smaller number of sites per unit area than Y2O3, a larger basicity contributing to a smaller force binding the low adhesion material with a basic substance than Y2O3, and a ratio contributing to shape retention. The low adhesion material thus less adhesive and more shape-retentive than Y2O3 configures the molding surface. A low adhesion material that is less adhesive to a basic substance than Y2O3 is and excellently shape-retentive, and an excellently releasable and shape-retentive resin molding die can thus be obtained.
