  • Patent number: 11279858
Abstract: A three-dimensional sticker is disclosed that includes a body. The body has the following components: a main sheet constructed from a thermoformable plastic layer, and a flexible/stretchable ink layer adhered the main sheet. Additionally, the body may employ an adhesive layer comprising a repositionable adhesive adhered to the main sheet and a thermoformable release liner detachably adhered to the adhesive layer. A thermoformable foam layer may reside between the main sheet and the removable adhesive layer. The body is thermoformed into a three-dimensional shape with an anchor region and an elevated region. The anchor region is substantially planar and defines an anchor plane, and the elevated region is outside of the anchor plane. The adhesive layer and release liner may be present in the anchor region and elevated region.

  • Patent number: 10463039
Abstract: A profile decoy frame and cover are sized for the frame to tension the cover. A compression loop in a top run of the frame allows forcible compression of the frame length for application and subsequent tensioning of the cover. The cover provides a largely featureless surface of a dark color with iconographic accents suggestive of the game animal. The frame provides a ground stake set inward from the opposite ends of the frame, yet offset from center of the frame, allowing the decoy to pivot across the wind.

  • Patent number: 10423739
Abstract: Constraint-based methods for determining orientations of material physical properties using an isoparametric shape function are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method of defining an orientation of an material physical property includes defining nonlinear and/or discontinuous design constraints of design values in a geometric domain associated with one or more physical attributes of the material physical property, and translating the nonlinear and/or discontinuous design constraints into continuous, first order design constraints of the design values by applying an isoparametric shape function. The method further includes performing a topology optimization using the continuous, first order design constraints of the design values, and reverse-translating results of the topology optimization back into the geometric domain using the isoparametric shape function. The results of the topology optimization in the geometric domain are indicative of the orientation of the material physical property.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to a skull mount for skull mounting or European mounting to display an animal skull with antlers. The skull mount comprises two pieces, a base and a skull plate cover. A skull plate with antlers affixed thereto may be positioned on the base. This way, since the antlers are still attached to the skull plate, it provides natural positioning of the antlers for that animal. The skull plate cover then registers on the base and covers a portion of the skull plate of the animal. As such, the skull mount covers the skull plate and provides a skull mount with naturally positioned antlers within an anatomically correct skull cover patterning.

A mounting mechanism may further be provided for mounting an object to the turkey fan display such as the beard, or a pole for use of the fan as a decoy in the field.

Abstract: A method for fabricating a product, such as an animatronic character, with artificial skin. The method includes providing a mold assembly with an exterior mold and a core. In the mold assembly, a cavity is formed between inner surfaces of the exterior mold and exterior surfaces of the core that defines the skin system. The mold assembly includes a seam-forming wall extending between the inner and exterior surfaces. The method includes inserting an elongate, tubular guide through holes in the seam-forming wall and pouring an elastomeric material into the mold to occupy the cavity between the exterior mold and the interior core. The method includes, after the material has hardened to form the skin system, cutting a seam in the skin system by cutting the material along the seam-forming wall. The tubular guide is separated into guide segments and a staggered joint is formed at the cut seam.

Abstract: The present invention is a kit and method of mounting a game animal that allows for antlers or horns to be quickly added or interchanged to an otherwise artificial mount. The method generally comprises the following steps: measuring the game animal, taking at least one picture of the game animal, caping the head, cutting the skull, boiling the skull cap, selecting the form, cutting the skull cap to fit the selected form, drilling holes in the skull cap, adding clay to the form, fitting the skull plate to the form, placing screws through the holes in the skull cap, covering the skull cap attached to the form with flaps from the artificial hair, trimming the excess material from the flaps, tucking the flaps around the antler or horn base, and bending the ears of the form to the desired position. The above-described method creates an odorless trophy that is durable, will remain intact for decades, and which has more consistent, lifelike, and more realistic facial features.
