  • Patent number: 7297043
Abstract: The toy rocket launcher includes an elongated launch tube and a pusher assembly which slides inside the launch tube in an air-tight relationship. A launch head assembly is rotatably mounted on a forward end of the launch tube and has a plurality of launch ports for receiving toy rockets. The forward end of the launch tube assembly includes a small opening which mates with one of a plurality of air passageways in the launch head assembly. Each air passageway connects with a different launch port. As the head assembly is rotated by hand on the launch tube, a flow of air from the launch tube produced by user action on the pusher assembly is directed to successive launch ports, thereby launching successive toy rockets from the launch head assembly.

  • Patent number: 6280277
Abstract: A toy includes a main body which, in a first orientation, resembles a water gun and, in a second orientation, resembles a vehicle. Within the main body is an air/water reservoir which may be filled with water, the reservoir being in communication with a source of air pressured by a hand-pump to cause water to be forcibly expelled from the reservoir upon opening a valve at a water outlet of the reservoir. The water outlet is controlled by a trigger mechanism which, when the toy is in the first orientation, resembles the trigger of a gun and permits opening and closing ofthe valve to occur upon pulling and release of the trigger. In the second orientation, the trigger mechanism is latched upon pulling the trigger in order to permit continued expulsion of water upon release of the trigger so that the expulsion of water serves to propel the vehicle.

Abstract: A model submarine has an inherent "fail safe" feature, so that the submarine (if submerged) will rise to its periscope depth in the event the submarine encounters a stationary object, or in the event a power failure occurs. Power is supplied by a single submersible motor-pump unit within a free-flooding hull. The motor-pump unit supplies a pressurized water discharge for, first, forward propulsion of the submarine via the discharge nozzle of an ejector pump; and second, for hydraulic control of the diving and steering maneuvers. The ejector pump has a venturi for aspirating fluid out of the ballast tank. An automatic depth control feature assures that the submarine will level off to a desired predetermined depth when a diving command signal is given; and the desired predetermined depth is adjustable.
