Abstract: A method of manufacturing a garment is provided that includes applying an adhesive layer to a first ply and/or a second ply in a first amount in a first zone where structural support is desired and in a second amount in a second zone where breathability is desired; arranging the first and second plies with respect to one another so that the adhesive layer is therebetween; and activating the adhesive layer to secure the first and second plies to one another.
Abstract: Feminine undergarments, particularly brassieres and other body shaping garments that are fabricated using a multi-layered fabric laminate that is formed by gluing multiple fabric layers together, preferably to permit body shaping garments to be substantially fabricated from a single main piece of material or blank cut from the multi-layered fabric laminate and which has finished edges which do not require separate binding or narrow edge finishing, together with a method of making such garments, both on an individual, batch basis, as well as an automated process for making the fabric laminate and multiple garments on a continuous basis, are disclosed. Multi-layer composite fabric laminate materials wherein different portions of at least one fabric layer thereof are made of different fabrics, and a method for making them, are also disclosed.
Abstract: Security underwear is a protective cover for female genital and anal opening against illicit sex and risk of contracting venereal diseases. It is made up of a unit for the genital which has an opening for urine passage and another unit for anal opening which allows free passage of stool. The cover for the genital is further composed of urine receiving channel and flaps to cover the said opening. The cover for anal opening has a lid which is hinged to a frame around anal opening which is in turn fastened to the back side portion of the belt. The two units are connected at the crotch. The channel, the flap and the lid, each opens and closes on its own by spring action. This enables the wearer to urinate and pass stool without taking off the protective covers. The unit for the genital can be worn either in combination with the anal cover or without it. In deployment the unit for genital cover is fastened by a strap to the front portion of the belt.
Abstract: An undergarment apparatus (20) and method for reducing menstrual cramping includes an elastic panel (30) mounted to at least one of a front portion (24) and a rear portion (25) of an underpant brief (21) in a manner exerting inward pressure across a lower torso region (31) of an individual wearer (23). At least one movable pressure bearing insert (32) is formed for positioning between the elastic panel (30) and the lower torso region (31) at a plurality of positions along the elastic panel (30). The elastic panel (30) cooperates with an apex portion (33) or small area side of the pressure bearing insert (32) to exert substantial localized point pressure on a relatively small area of the torso region (31) for mitigation of menstrual cramping.
Abstract: The thigh mounted lower back support belt works to keep the human spine straight while bending. This added support for the lower back aids persons engaged in aerobics, golf, lifting, and prolonged sitting. Full flexibility of motion is possible while easing the support load of the lower back. Thigh straps attach to a waist belt which pulls the stomach back while bending.
