Abstract: A weight lifting support shirt includes a chest support portion, a first arm support portion, a second arm support portion, a neck relief portion, a torso support portion, a first lateral extension, and a second lateral extension. A grid plate is disposed about a center of the chest support portion. The grid plate resists stretching of material of the chest support portion when a weight is lowered by a lifter and stores energy of the weight when the weight is lowered during a workout. The grid plate rebounds the stored energy into a chest portion and arms of the lifter when the weight is lifted by the lifter during the workout. The grid plate comprises a figure eight stitching. The figure eight stitching directs load and energy received from multiple angles during the workout, towards the center of the chest support portion.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for exercising a muscle in a given agonist and antagonist muscle pair of a user's human body by providing an elongated elastic band having a first length when no external forces are applied thereto, elongating the elastic band to a second length that is greater than the first length, securing the elastic band to a garment in a manner whereby when the elastic band is installed on the garment an axial force is imposed on the body of the user and the elastic band is disposed in aligned proximate relationship with at least one of the muscles in a given pair of muscles comprising an agonist muscle and antagonist muscle pair.

Abstract: An exoskeleton (100) includes two torque generators (116, 118), two thigh links (104,106), and a supporting trunk (112) rotatably coupled to the thigh links (104, 106). When a wearer bends forward in the sagittal plane such that the supporting trunk (112) extends beyond a predetermined angle A with respect to vertical, at least one of the torque generators (116, 118) imposes a resisting torque between the supporting trunk (112) and a corresponding thigh link (104, 106), thus imposing a force onto a wearer's trunk and thighs to aid in supporting the wearer in a bent position. The exoskeleton (100) may include an active or passive means (116, 134) for actuating the torque generators (116, 118).

Abstract: A device for relieving back strain for a user who is supporting a substantial weight which is off the user's vertical body axis at his or her front side. The device alleviates the aforementioned difficulties by utilizing the otherwise detrimental forces generated by the off-axis weight to press a rigid plate behind and adjacent to the spine of the device user against the user's spine. This rigid plate is preferably contoured to mirror the shape of the human spine. The device in one embodiment is used as a baby carrier. In another it is used with an abdominal support during pregnancy. In a third embodiment it provides support for the breasts of large breasted women.

The back portion has a high cut neckline which the natural curve of the back of the neckline and is contoured around the back arm and underarm areas for evenly compressing and supporting the upper back and lower back and posterior auxiliary fat pads without visible bra lines or bulges on the back and underarm area.

Abstract: A garment combines features of posture braces, compression garments and thermal therapy devices in a single garment constructed in one piece and folded and reversibly affixed to form an undershirt-like structure fitting around the torso under the arms, thereby covering the back and extending between the cervical spine and the lumbo-sacral spinal region. On the back and front of the garment are a plurality of pouches which can contain a thermal unit which can heat or cool the back. In this manner, the garment can apply variable compression to the back and/or torso and/or abdomen horizontally and/or vertically, and can, independently of the compression, also, apply heat or cold to the back and/or torso.

Abstract: A bra sport top provides enhanced posture and increased breast support for women engaging in athletic activities. Over-shoulder harnesses encircle each shoulder and serve to urge them back. Cross braces interconnect the two over-shoulder harnesses in a crosswise manner between the shoulder blades. A support belt traveling through a slip sleeve encircles the wearer's torso below the breast and shoulder blades. Interconnecting the over-shoulder harnesses and the slip sleeve are breast-tensioning panels that compress and restrain the breasts so as to prevent any damage to the breast tissue. The left and right breast-tensioning panels may be interconnected by a detachable coupling means or may be connected by elastic bands or the like. Alternative embodiments allow for different directional support of the underlying breast tissue by the breast-tensioning panels.
