Abstract: A removable label guest book assembly provides a record of guests attending an event and removable labels to facilitate subsequent communication with those who attended the event. The guest book assembly includes a plurality of pages coupled together forming a book. A plurality of removable labels is coupled to the pages. The labels each have a writing surface configured for being written on by a writing implement. A plurality of recording sheets is provided. Each label has an associated recording sheet positioned between the label and the page. Thus, the recording sheet transfers writing on the writing surface of the label onto the associated page.

Abstract: A promotional form is provided which includes a detachable element received within the surrounding margin of a base sheet, the base sheet being folded and sealed around one side of the detachable element to initially conceal a message, question or other indicia hidden until the detachable element is at least partially removed. The promotional form may include a plurality of detachable elements having correlated indicia printed on an exposed side and either on the concealed side of the element or in a portion of the opposing form section in registry with the detachable element. A game or educational piece may be inexpensively provided by correlating different indicia messages corresponding to respective detachable elements, so that in response to an initial query or instruction, a plurality of possible results may be revealed, leading in turn to an outcome revealed by removal of a further detachable element.

Abstract: A linerless label is provided, that can be easily imaged, printed, or hand written upon by the end user. The label consists of a single ply, dispensed usually in a roll form, or alternatively, in a stacked form. A label roll is formed from a web of ply. The face of the web is stripe coated with an adhesive repellant release coat. The back of the web of ply is stripe coated with adhesive. Upon winding the web of ply into a roll, the adhesive on the back of the web of ply overlies the adhesive repellant stripes on the face of the web therebelow. The regions of the face of the web of ply not striped with adhesive repellant form areas for user printing and handwriting. Further, any portion of the face of the web of ply may be press printed prior to the application of the adhesive repellant stripes. Likewise, a label stack includes a plurality of label sheets superposed one on top the other.

Abstract: A note pad includes a plurality of stacked self-stick transparent note sheets. Each of the note sheets includes a transparent plastic film coated with a transparent coating layer and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer. The coating layer is prepared from a mixture of a binder and at least one pigment. The weight ratio of the binder to the pigment ranges from 1:1 to 1:10. Each of the note sheets has an opacity of less than 45%.

Abstract: A unitary stack of paper sheets have individual paper sheets which are loosely bonded together in a manner whereby an individual paper sheet is easily removed and used as a base. Each paper sheet in the unitary stack has a pressure sensitive adhesive partially covering each face thereof in approximate aligned areas of the respective faces. A back face of the individual sheet is adhered to a substrate while a front face holds an item for posting. In use, an individual paper sheet is readily removed from the unitary stack, adhered on its back face to the substrate, and then an item posted on its front face.

Abstract: A recording sheet package includes a stack of plural recording sheets. A packaging body contains the recording sheets. The packaging body or the recording sheets include humidity and temperature indicators which allows the degradation of the recording sheets to be compensated for in the course of thermal printing. A detection cutout is formed in the packaging body, for receiving insertion of a sheet remainder counter. The sheet remainder counter is allowed to push the recording sheets in a thickness direction thereof. The sheet remainder counter is adapted to detect a number of remaining ones of the recording sheets in the packaging body.

Abstract: A mailer type business form intermediate, and method of producing a mailer from the intermediate, effect folding in a novel manner in order to produce a business form that is particularly advantageous for providing a negotiable instrument, such as a bank check or money order. The intermediate has conventional components, but with first, second and third fold lines defining a sheet of paper comprising the intermediate into first through fourth panels. The fourth panel has indicia defining the negotiable instrument and at least one line of weakness separating the negotiable instrument from the rest of the fourth panel. Tacking adhesive patterns may be disposed substantially parallel to the top and bottom edges of the intermediate to hold the first panel second face to the second panel second face adjacent the top edge and second fold line, and to hold the fourth panel second face to the second panel first face adjacent the first and third fold lines, when the intermediate is folded about the fold lines.

Abstract: A business form, particularly a mailer type business form, is constructed from a sheet of paper. The paper has first and second areas, the first area having security indicia positively imaged in non-fluorescent white ink. The second area, which is preferably immediately adjacent the first area, is substantially covered by non-fluorescent white ink, with security indicia reverse imaged on it. Some security indicia may extend from the first area to the second area, being positively imaged white ink in the first area, and reverse imaged indicia surrounded by white ink in the second area. The mailer may be formed into panels by lines of weakness, and may have areas with security pantographs thereon, or areas with security printing over a portion thereof and portions distinct from the security printing receiving outgoing address indicia and postage indicia, and possibly return address indicia.

Abstract: A multi-part, partially pre-printed form useful as an airbill has address information printed thereon by a non-impact printer. Different configurations of the form are described, including panels overlappingly affixed together by an adhesive having removable strips defined by cuts through the top overlapping panels. The center panel is transparent or at least translucent. The address information printed on the outer panels is in a mirror image format relative to the information printed on the transparent panel.

Abstract: Composite sheet used as a component of a pad including a stack of like composite sheets and a pad comprising a plurality of like composite sheets. The sheets include at least one perforation line permitting separation of the sheet into at least two separate sheets, and a layer of pressure sensitive adhesive on the bottom surface of the sheet and covering at least a portion of the bottom surface of each separate sheet.

Abstract: A single multipurpose tuck label/form is provided and is imprinted with only a single pass of a printer. The multipurpose tuck label/form includes a label ply and a liner ply, both having respective first and second sides. The first side of the liner ply contacts the second side of the label ply and includes a release coating thereon. Through a unique placement of the release coating on the liner ply and pattern-coated adhesive on the label ply, the tuck label/form can be imprinted in a single pass through a computer-driven printer and may be used without the need for any die cuts to be made on the liner ply.

Abstract: An identification card assembly, made from an intermediate, comprises a carrier sheet with at least one ID card mounted on, and having smaller dimensions than, the carrier sheet. The ID card is connected to repositional adhesive, which in turn is connected through a tie coat to paper label stock, in turn connected by permanent adhesive to the paper carrier sheet. The assembly is constructed from an intermediate which includes a roll of release material on which are provided a number of spaced ID cards and associated adhesive. The carrier sheet is fed through a non-impact printer for variably imaging indicia on the top face of the ID card. A carrier sheet can be made into a mailer.

Abstract: In a web of envelope lengths rolled for storage, adhesives on the web are arranged to not overlap during storage. To prevent the areas of adhesive of the front surface on one turn from binding to the areas of adhesive on the back surface of an adjacent turn in the roll, the transverse lines of adhesion are formed of adhesive spots, and the adhesives on the front surface are contained in first longitudinal zones and the adhesives on the back surface are contained in second longitudinal zones separate from the adhesives on the front surface. This disposition may be a combined arrangement of adhesives which also prevents adhesion when the web assembly is folded in zigzag packet configuration for storage.

Abstract: A business form has a self-contained ID card which is mounted in such a way that the form has uniform thickness and can readily pass through an impact or non-impact printer, and indicia can be applied to both the top and bottom faces of the ID card by the printer. A first sheet has a first cutout and a first thickness, and an ID card of the same shape and slightly less dimensions, and about the same thickness, is disposed within the cutout. The card is held in the cutout by a backing overlapping at least part of the first cutout bottom face with readily releasable adhesive disposed on the top face of the backing overlapping the cutout and engaging the bottom of the card. The backing may be first and second parallel pieces of tape, or it may be second sheet with a second die cut out in substantial alignment with the first cut out but having lesser dimensions.

Abstract: A business form having a base sheet and a web adhered thereto forming a discrete pocket is provided. The web is applied and adhered to the base sheet whereby the surrounding margin of the web is recessed from the circumscribing edge of the base sheet. The continuous form can be fan-folded without binding or interference as the fold lines of the base sheet are free from interference by the web, The base sheet may be coated with carbonless transfer media as may be an insert ply positioned between the web and the base sheet to permit inscriptions on the base sheet to be transferred to a ply which may be subsequently removed.

Abstract: A business form intermediate comprises a sheet that is Z-folded first about first and second fold lines to define an outgoing mailer. The business form has first, second and third panels with an outgoing address area on the first face of the third panel, and an O.P.A.S. patch on the first face of the first panel. The patch obscures a PIN number or other confidential information underneath it. Pressure seal adhesive formed along the margins of the paper sheet of the intermediate holds the panels together once Z-folded. Masking is applied on panel faces as necessary in order to obscure all interior information of the mailer. A reply mailer may be constructed from the second and third panels using a window in the third panel overlying reply address indicia on the second panel first face and rewettable adhesive strips on the second panel first face.

Abstract: A system for producing a laminated facsimile sheet assembly to cover and conceal a facsimile message on a message sheet comprises a supply of message sheet material which may be a roll of sheet material. A printing head is disposed to print a message on a section of the sheet material. A supply of cover sheet material is disposed to superimposed a cover sheet on the recorded sheet to the message sheet. The attachment means can be spots of pressure sensitive adhesive preapplied in a predetermined pattern to one side of the cover sheet. The over sheet can be part of a roll or one of a pile thereof; other sides of the cover sheets have slippery surfaces to prevent the cover sheets from sticking to each other in a pile. A cutter device can be disposed to cut the message sheets one at a time from the roll of message sheet material; or it can cut both the message sheets one at a time from the roll of message sheet material; or it can cut both the message sheet and superimposed cover sheet taken from a roll thereof.

Abstract: In a method for producing composite carbonless copy business forms using non-impact printers, a CFB web having segmented glue lines across the width of both sides of the web. These glue lines adhere the CFB web to adjacent upper and lower CB and CF webs to seal together a business form. The glue lines on both sides of the CFB web are segmented such that the adhesive on the front of the web is laterally staggered from the adhesive on the back of the web. The staggering of the glue line ensures that the adhesive on the front of the web does not adhere to the adhesive on the back when the web is in a roll. Alternatively, the glue line on the CFB web is replaced with a line of holes that align with the glue lines on the CF and CB webs when the webs are registered together.

Abstract: This invention relates to an imaging sheet manifold comprising a transparent polymeric sheet imageable in an imaging machine and an opaque sheet adhered thereto by means of a removable pressure-sensitive adhesive. The adhesive comprises a) 50-90% by weight of a lower alkylacrylate the alkyl chains of which can be from 4-12 carbon atoms; b) 10-50% by weight of a higher alkylacrylate or methacrylate, the alkyl chains of which can be from 12 to 26 carbon atoms, and c) a crosslinker. This invention also comprises a method of making the novel imaging manifold.

Abstract: A writing assistance assembly for use by disabled people comprising a planar base with a smooth writing surface. A smooth adhesive layer overlies the smooth writing surface for holding writing paper sheets against lateral sliding movement across the smooth writing surface during the writing on the sheets of paper. A means for restraining the planar base against lateral movement across an underlying supporting surface is also provided. This assembly can also be utilized by a disabled person to place his disabled hand onto the writing assembly and apply weight there upon as therapy without slipping.

Abstract: A business form which allows indicia on a paper sheet to be protected, and provides a removable security covering too, is constructed from an intemediate. The intermediate includes a first paper sheet having a quadrate configuration including two longitudinal edges, and a face and back, and a fold line at a central portion, dividing the sheet into first and second portions. A pattern of repositional adhesive is disposed on the sheet face first portion, and indicia is disposed on the sheet face second portion. A transparent plastic film having a face and back and dimensions about the same as those of the first sheet first portion is disposed over the sheet face first portion and is removably attached to it by the repositional adhesive. Permanent adhesive is disposed on the plastic film back. A second sheet having a release material face and dimensions about the same as the first sheet first portion is disposed in removable contact with the permanent adhesive.
