  • Patent number: 10751630
Abstract: A fantasy sports management system includes a wireless transceiver and a processor. the wireless transceiver is configured to communicate sports-related information to a mobile device that includes a fantasy sports management application. The processor is in communication with the wireless transceiver. Real-time sports information is received from the fantasy sports management application on the mobile device. An input is received requesting the fantasy sports management application to suggest a starter for a roster of the mobile device user. Roster information is received relating to the user and other users' fantasy sports teams. A determination is made regarding whether the rosters of the user and the other users are substantially similar. If they are, a suggestion of changing the user's roster is made and sent so that the user has the ability to change his roster to more aligned with the roster of the other users.

Abstract: Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for dynamically determining and applying a zoom amount when entering a sniper mode are presented. In one or more embodiments, a computing device may provide a user interface that includes a controlled vehicle and a target vehicle. Subsequently, the computing device may receive a request to enter a sniper mode. In response to receiving the request to enter the sniper mode, the computing device may determine a zoom amount based on a size of the target vehicle and a distance from the controlled vehicle to the target vehicle. The computing device then may update the user interface based on the zoom amount to enter the sniper mode.

Abstract: Specification of a point of interest is received. After then, a distance of movement on a path from an initial viewpoint is obtained based on an operation amount obtained at an operation unit, such as a mouse. View line vectors are set by sequentially changing the view line vectors from an initial view line vector with its start point located at the initial viewpoint to a shortest view line vector connecting a point of interest and a viewpoint at a shortest distance by moving, along the path, a viewpoint of a virtual endoscope on the path from the initial viewpoint closer to the point of interest and by changing the direction of a view line of the virtual endoscope closer to a direction toward the point of interest. Virtual endoscopic images are sequentially generated based on the set view line vectors, and the generated virtual endoscopic images are sequentially displayed.

Abstract: A game system includes a housing to be held by a player. The housing incorporates an XY-axis acceleration sensor to detect an acceleration in an X-axis and Y-axis direction and a Z-axis contact switch to detect an acceleration in an Z-axis direction. These sensor and switch detect at least one of an amount (e.g., tilt amount, movement amount, impact amount or the like) and a direction (e.g., tilt direction, movement direction, impact direction or the like) of a change applied to the housing. A simulation program provides simulation such that a state of a game space is changed related to at least one of the amount and direction of the change applied to the housing.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing force feedback to a user operating a human/computer interface device in conjunction with a graphical user interface (GUI) displayed by a host computer system. A physical object, such as a joystick or a mouse, controls a graphical object, such as a cursor, within the GUI. The GUI allows the user to interface with operating system functions implemented by the computer system. A signal is output from the host computer to the interface device to apply a force sensation to the physical object using one or more actuators. This desired force sensation is associated with at least one of the graphical objects and operating system functions of the graphical user interface and is determined by a location of the cursor in the GUI with respect to targets that are associated with the graphical objects. The graphical objects include icons, windows, pull-down menus and menu items, scroll bars (“sliders”), and buttons.

Abstract: Generation of an observer view in a virtual environment in response to real-time input during a simulation is disclosed. In one embodiment, a device initiates a simulation of a virtual environment. Core view data that identifies a core view in the virtual environment is maintained. The core view is associated with an object in the virtual environment. Core view imagery that depicts a portion of the virtual environment based on the core view data is generated. During the simulation, real-time input that includes first observer view data that identifies a first observer view in the virtual environment is received. The first observer view is unassociated with any object in the virtual environment. First observer view imagery that depicts a portion of the virtual environment based on the first observer view data is generated.

Abstract: Provided is a communication processing module, which is compatible with various kinds of devices to be operated by an operation input device. The communication processing module for the device to be operated receives any one of a standard operation signal specifying a standard action and a specific operation signal specifying an action unique to the device to be operated, which are transmitted by the operation input device. When the received operation signal is the standard operation signal, the communication processing module causes the device to be operated to execute an action corresponding to a content of the operation signal, and when the received operation signal is the specific operation signal, transfers data contained in the signal to a unique processing module. The unique processing module causes the device to be operated to execute an action corresponding to a content of the data transferred from the communication processing module.
