  • Patent number: 10967257
Abstract: A social game and the like that can increase the fun and amusement of a team battle and enhance players' motivation to participate in or continue a game by suppressing an occurrence of any non-participation team not participating in the battle are provided. A guild status determination unit determines, for each guild, whether the guild is in an inactive state or an active state, based on a result of detecting a login state of each player. A guild integrated control unit forcibly disbands a guild (i.e. an inactive guild) determined to be in the inactive state, based on guild activity information notified from the status determination unit. A disbandment notification unit notifies each player belonging to the inactive guild, of the disbandment of the guild.

Abstract: A computing system that includes wearable computing components may be provided that creates an interactive game for at least two players. Finite state machines may be provided with a range of states that correspond to an array of possible states of a player of the game. Each player is assigned a client device, which preferably may be embedded in wearable computing components. The client device uses software to execute a first instance of a finite state machine. The client deceives are connected in a network with server devices. The state machines transition states based upon player interaction with other players and objects. When the state machines transition states, the players are notified and their respective states within the game also change. A programmable game server can be used to process rules of interactive game and to enable a user to specify rules for other or new interactive games.

Abstract: A rhythm-based video game (“game”) is disclosed. In the game, a player slashes blocks representing musical beats using a pair of energy blades resembling a lightsaber. A gaming console renders multiple digital objects, e.g., digital blocks, digital mines and digital obstacles, that are approaching a player in a virtual space. The gaming console also renders a digital representation of an instrument, e.g., a lightsaber (“digital saber”), using which the player slashes, cuts or otherwise interacts with the digital blocks to cause a digital collision between the digital saber and the digital blocks. The player can score by slashing the digital blocks, not hitting the digital mines and avoiding the digital obstacles. The game presents the player with a stream of approaching digital objects in synchronization with music, e.g., a song's beats, being played in the game. The pace at which the digital blocks approach the player increases with the beats.

  • Patent number: 10347082
Abstract: The gaming systems and methods of the present disclosure provide a skill-based wagering game and determining the AEP % for each play based on the player's skill level. Generally, for a play of the skill-based wagering game, the gaming system receives a skill-based input from a player, derives a player skill level from the skill-based input, and determines an AEP % for the play based on the player skill level. The AEP % ranges from a minimum, nonzero AEP % to a maximum AEP %. The higher the player's skill level, the closer the AEP % is to the maximum AEP %, and vice-versa. The nonzero minimum AEP % appeals to low- and medium-skill players since they have a chance to win awards even if they perform poorly for a given play. High-skill players enjoy an advantage over their low- and medium-skill counterparts since they can use their high skill level to achieve comparatively higher AEP %'s.
