Abstract: A method of generating an augmented reality (AR) signage solution including acquiring an image of a structure, establishing scaling information for the image by correlating dimensional information of the structure to points in the image, obtaining jurisdictional signage rules, designing a layout for signage on the structure in compliance with the jurisdictional signage rules, depicting in AR the acquired image and signage layout, and generating production documentation after obtaining user approval. The method including detecting the location of one or more obstructions on the structure and incorporating the obstruction locations in the signage layout. The method including adjusting the orientation of the acquired structure image within the AR to reduce skew of the structure in relation to a viewing perspective. A system and non-transitory computer-readable medium are also disclosed.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a wireless shot tracking system including a programmable electronic unit that is in electrical communication with a shot detector for automatically tracking and displaying real-time shooting percentages of basketball players during basketball shooting sessions, and a telescoping pole for mounting the shot detector to a basketball rim from the ground. The programmable electronic unit provides a program mode, a play mode, a review mode and a random mode to help improve the shooting skills of a basketball player from different shooting locations on a basketball court. The shot detector includes one or more vibration sensors to detect missed shots, and an activator that extends along a horizontal axis in a central region of the basketball hoop to detect made shots. The programmable electronic unit interfaces with a computer via a USB port for uploading or downloading program updates or shooting session data.

Abstract: A play tent has a tent body, a roof, and a game device board. The tent body has a ball opening. The roof is connected with the tent body and has a ball end moveable relative to the tent body to correspond to the top of the tent body or the ball opening. The game device board is mounted on the tent body. When the ball end is moved to a position corresponding to the ball opening, a child can pitch a ball towards the game device board, and then the ball rolls to the ball opening, such that the child can pitch the ball again. When the ball end is moved to a position corresponding to the top of the tent body, the child can be engaged in other activities inside the tent body. Therefore, the play tent can provide multiple functions for use.

Abstract: A collapsible soccer goal for playing and practicing variations of the traditional soccer game in a circular configuration at locations comprising and typically requiring smaller play areas than usually required for traditional soccer play. The inventive device comprises a multi-panel frame and net structure and appropriate netting and ground attachment devices to secure the netting to the frames and the device to the ground. The concentric circle lines establishing the play area parameters facilitate the unique form of soccer play described herein. In addition to the unique application of the device, the unique design and nature of this device, making it optionally foldable, collapsible, and light weight, facilitates its transportation to, speedy placement on, and removal from the area of use.

The storage structure can include a fixed slightly angled wall (relative to the ground) or may include an adjustable angled wall. The face of the target may include markers to indicate desired projectile strike locations for one or more sports. These markers may be painted on, supplied as a tarp to place over a surface, or provided as colored building materials. For example, an 8 foot by 24 foot box may be indicated on the face of the target to mimic a soccer net. The storage structure may provide not only a storage facility, but also an invitation for users to play, practice and perfect their coordination, reaction time, and skill at various sports.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a basketball stopping apparatus arranged for attachment to a basketball goal assembly. Abstract: In exemplary implementations of this invention, a basketball net or flat net measures the translational kinetic energy of a ball that passes through an aperture in the net or impacts the net. The net includes one or more electrically conductive cords, which have a resistance that varies depending on the degree to which the cord is stretched. From sensor measurements, a processor determines: (a) instantaneous rate of change of resistance, and (b) duration of a time period that begins when resistance exceeds a baseline (with hysteresis). In the case of a basketball net, a processor may calculate the translational kinetic energy of the ball as equal to a sum of two terms. The first term is inversely proportional to the square of the duration; the second is proportional to the square of the integral of the instantaneous rate of change of resistance over the time period.

Abstract: A pitching game system may include a multi-direction course having a plurality of tossing sections juxtaposed side-by-side and a plurality of flexible projectiles. A plurality of targets may be placed at an ending point of each of the tossing sections. Each of the targets has a numerical point value imprinted on its top surface. The targets may further be positioned at the ending point of each of the tossing sections respectively. A plurality of marker cones spaced from the targets may be positioned at a starting point of each of the tossing sections. Such marker cones may designate a standing location of the player at each of the tossing sections respectively. The player may throw the projectiles along a trajectory having a linear distance of at least fifty feet beginning from a corresponding one of the marker cones and ending at a corresponding group of the targets respectively.

Abstract: A wireless scoring and gaming system includes a plurality of basketball goal sets and a receiving peripheral. The system supports RF, IR or similar transmissions amongst the scoring transmitters of the basketball goal sets and the scoring receiver of the receiving peripheral. The receiving peripheral includes a scoring controller comprising logic to calculate a score and drive circuitry for an LCD or LED alphanumeric display and/or video display. The receiving peripheral can light up and multiplex a score as well as output appropriate audio sound bites via a variety of means, and can accurately output the score of opposing players or teams via wireless control and activation.

Abstract: A Soccer Goal Retainer includes a bar rotatably mounted in an enclosure. A clamp plate includes a lower member attachable to the bar. A vertical member extends at right angles from the lower member and an upper member extends from the vertical member generally at right angles. A lip extends generally at right angles from the upper member. With the vertical member generally positioned vertically, the lip, the upper member and vertical member are placed over the rear rail of a soccer goal and the clamp plate is secured to the bar. The clamp plate is released from the rear rail by loosening the clamp plate from the bar. The clamp plate and the bar are then rotated in a forward manner and downwardly into the enclosure. A cover is placed over the enclosure both when the clamp plate is in use and when it is being stored.

A controller is connected to the winch and is operable by a user in order to raise or lower the hinged post that is connected to the winch cable.

The sensor is configured to detect the presence of a projectile at the target zone. The system may also include an electronic display configured to display the status of the game being played with the game system, and an electronic controller configured to receive signals from the sensor and coupled to the electronic display to reflect the status of the game.

The disassembled components can be carried in vans and SUVs. The base has at least one wheel enabling ready repositioning of the base on the playing field and an upper wall with an upward-opening slot. The base plug portion is receivable within the slot of the base for connecting the dummy obstacle to the base such that, when the dummy obstacle is connected to the base, the body portion of the dummy obstacle is supported in a substantially upright position. The base may further include one or more coaching sticks removably secured within receptacles in a position extending or projecting from the base.

The sports apparatus includes a plurality of assembling poles each including a main pole and a sub pole, a connector, and a supporting unit. The main pole has an insertion bore, an L-shaped lower fixture and a plurality of main coupling holes in an upper portion thereof. The sub pole is inserted into the main pole and has a plurality of lower height-adjusting holes and a plurality of upper sub coupling holes. The sub pole is movable up and down to have an adjustable height relative to the main pole as a fastener is fastened through selected ones of the height-adjusting holes and main coupling holes. Abstract: One embodiment provides a foldable throwback device comprising a front frame, a base frame, and telescoping angle members. The front frame is adapted to secure a bounce-back surface and is foldable into at least three sections without removal of the bounce-back surface. The base frame is coupled to the front frame by hinge brackets that allow the base frame to fold substantially flat onto the front frame without significant disassembly. Each telescoping angle member extends from the base frame to the front frame, and is adjustable to allow angling the front frame relative to the base frame. Each telescoping angle member may include a rotation-limiting mechanism and a safety mechanism that prevents unintentional detachment.

Abstract: Methods and devices, including kits, are disclosed herein for playing a flying disc game. For instance, some aspects are directed to kits for playing flying disc game that can include one or more poles (e.g., two), one or more target objects (e.g., two), and/or a flying disc. The pole can be insertable into a ground surface, or can optionally be inserted into a free standing base. The target object can be detachably placed on the a target support of the pole, which can be dislodged by a player throwing the flying disc at the target object. Various configurations for the poles, target objects, and flying disc are discussed. As well, a method for playing a flying disc game, (e.g., one using some assembly of the equipment disclosed) is also revealed.
