  • Publication number: 20140144084
Abstract: A sentinel event reduction door comprises a trapazoidally-shaped panel comprising four sides. A continuous hinge is connected to the panel along substantially the full length of a first side thereof. A second side of the panel adjacent to the first side is at an angle defined by the inner section of the first and second sides of the panel and is an acute angle. A second panel at the top of the door for movement between an open position to a closed position within an opening in the second side of the first panel. A third side of the first panel has a pliable material attached thereto.

  • Publication number: 20110277387
Abstract: A window displacement assembly (11) to displace a window sash (5) from a window frame (16), the frame (6) having a pair of parallel vertically extending jambs (7) spaced apart by a horizontally extending lintel (8) and a horizontally extending sill (9) to define a generally rectangular window frame. The assembly including a housing (12) located adjacent said lintel (8); a shaft (14) to extend away from said housing and parallel to said lintel and a top of said window sash; a first arm (15) pivotally connected at a fixed end (16) to said shaft adjacent said housing; a second arm (17) pivotally connected at a fixed end (18) to said shaft remote said housing. Each arm being located substantially adjacent a separate jamb and having a free end (20), each said free end having a portion (21) engageable with a corresponding guide (25) formed in vertical sides of said sash.

  • Publication number: 20090249695
Abstract: A damp rail assembly for a garage door opening system is provided. The rail assembly includes a beam member configured for mounting to a support structure, and for slidably supporting a trolley member. A viscoelastic laminate structure is attached to the beam member to absorb and attenuate vibration and structure-borne noise directly therefrom. The viscoelastic laminate structure includes a constraining layer and a viscoelastic layer spanning substantially the entirety of the constraining layer and bonded thereto. The viscoelastic laminate structure may include a plurality of planar viscoelastic laminate structures each having an adhesive layer spanning substantially the entirety of a respective viscoelastic layer such that each of the planar viscoelastic laminate structures may be individually adhered at different predetermined locations along the beam member. Alternatively, the viscoelastic laminate structure and beam member may be preformed as a single, unitary structure.

  • Patent number: 4125196
Abstract: The present disclosure involves a refuse loading station comprising a refuse packer assembly, a refuse container and a loading dock disposed in front of the packer assembly. The container includes a vertically slidable closure. The clearing member includes a cutter edge for severing refuse, and an inclined refuse deflecting surface located under a bottom edge of the closure when the container is in a refuse loading position. The refuse clearing member includes a mechanism for partially raising the closure in response to movement of the container to a refuse loading position so as to locate the bottom edge of the closure above the deflecting surface. Power actuable mechanism is provided for raising and lowering the clearing member. When the clearing member is raised it contacts and raises the closure, and when the clearing member is lowered it contacts and lowers the closure.

  • Patent number: 4091857
Abstract: A system is provided whereby a flexible curtain is hunt from a horizontal span of an overhead suspended cable, and can be drawn off said cable onto a rigid track for storage. The track is positioned contiguous to an end of said span and above said cable. Transfer of the curtain from the cable to the track is facilitated by use of an inclined member which smoothly engages both said cable and said track, causing said transfer to occur within said horizontal span. Traversal of the curtain with respect to the cable is achieved by means of carriers equipped with wheels which ride atop said cable.
