Abstract: A bunting bag, particularly well-suited for use with children and child carriers, has a top panel detachably coupled to a bottom panel so that the top panel may be completely removed from the bottom panel. The bottom panel is configured or shaped to nest or mate in the child carrier without folds or substantial overhangs. The bottom panel includes a harness insert interface. A harness insert interface is provided that secures with the bottom panel via the harness insert interface.

Abstract: An insertable window assembly for incorporating a window into a canopy on a baby carriage includes an infant transport that has a resting surface and a canopy at least partially covering the resting surface. The canopy has a top surface and a bottom surface, and a receiving aperture extending through the top surface and the bottom surface. The receiving aperture facilitates a caregiver to see the infant in the infant transport. A window is attached to the infant transport and the window is positioned on the canopy to cover the receiving aperture. A cover is attached to the window and the cover is removably positioned over the window. The cover is comprised of an opaque material to inhibit light from flowing through the window and into the infant transport.

Abstract: A pet stroller having a frame assembly and a cloth platform enclosure connected to a platform enclosure member that defines a base and a sidewall of a pet seating area. Upper and lower canopy bars are pivotably connected to the rear pivot blocks that are pivotable to extend or retract a canopy over the pet seating area. A cloth canopy assembly is connected to the handle and the upper and lower canopy bars, and has a cutout exposing a front portion of the lower canopy bar. An over-center latch assembly is connected to the platform enclosure member in a position aligned with the cutout on the canopy assembly. The over-center latch is movable to a latched position in which it clamps the lower canopy bar to the platform enclosure member to form an enclosed pet seating area.

Abstract: A collapsible umbrella gym for an infant or toddler which is highly portable, and combines the desirable attributes of an activity arch and support mat such as an activity mat. The gym comprises a frame assembly which is selectively movable between collapsed and uncollapsed states. When in its fully deployed, uncollapsed state, the frame assembly assumes a configuration which provides the functional attributes of an activity gym or activity arch, with multiple toys or mobiles being suspended from the frame assembly at locations which are easily accessible to an infant or toddler lying underneath the frame assembly.

Abstract: A baby swaddle apparatus can comprise generally a torso portion, a blanket portion, and a pouch portion. The torso portion having a plurality of panels and containing a torso waist opening and neck opening to receive a baby inside of the torso portion. The front panel of the torso also comprising at least one fastener. The blanket portion coupled to the torso rear panel comprising of a blanket panel containing an exterior and interior side and at least one fastener. The pouch portion can contain a pouch opening which receives the baby's legs. The pouch comprising of a pouch front and rear panel and a pouch front panel which contains a plurality of fasteners which allow the pouch to be modified in a way to allow for at least one leg opening.

Abstract: A crib cover assembly includes a U-shaped central frame that includes an elongated cross bar and a pair of oppositely spaced end bars monolithically formed with the cross bar. The end bars are horizontally registered with opposed latitudinal edges of the crib and are abutted thereagainst. A pair of arcuately shaped guide rails are conjoined to the central frame and extend over and around the end bars. The guide rails form a pair of dome shaped regions over the central portion. The support and end bars are intercalated between a crib top edge and the guide rails. A retractable cover, that is adaptable between open and closed positions, is conjoined to the guide rails and is seated therebetween. The retractable cover has a longitudinal length spanning across an entire longitudinal length of the crib. The cover and the central frame are formed from wood.

Abstract: A protective cover against insects for babies' and toddlers' enclosures such as cribs, playpens, strollers and the like includes an unstructured tubular body portion and an unstructured dome-shaped hood, both made of insect netting material which “breathes” and is transparent. The tubular body at its upper edge and the hood at its periphery each have a stretchable band or fastener that reduces the effective dimensions of the body edge and hood periphery so that the body may be drawn downwardly over the enclosure and be held in place by the reduced dimension of the edge and the hood is drawn downwardly over the top of the enclosure and its periphery overlaps the top edge of the body portion.

Abstract: A multi-layer protective shield for a stroller with an inflatable frame supporting a series of layers providing protection against sun, rain, wind, and insects. The protective shield includes at least two protective layers. At least one layer is resistant to UV radiation. The layers include a film layer adapted to protect a child seated in the stroller from rain. The film layer is resistant to UV radiation. At least one layer is a netting layer adapted to protect the child from flying insects. The protective layers may include an opaque layer composed of a flexible metalized plastic material. The inflatable frame and the layers each pivot with respect to the stroller. The protective layers are supported by the frame. One or more fans may be included to encourage air circulation.

Abstract: A device has a flexible UV protective cover configured so that on attachment to the edge of the hood of a hooded pram, stroller or wheel stroller, it provides shade and protection for the occupant. The cover is to be made from UPF 50+ stretch knitted fabrics. The cover has a translucent mesh section that provides shade and allows a baby to see out and adults to see in. The cover can be releasably attached to the stroller by the use of elastic strips, ties or hook and loop fasteners. A shaping component creates an open base (vent) to admit air into/under the cover via a hooped effect at the bottom of cover and is an elasticized rod or PVC coated wire.

The warming cover may be configured to cover transport devices such as child seats, strollers, wheel chairs, or the like, or it may be configured as a blanket, a sleeping bag or a coat. A first section has an outer barrier surrounding its side and outer end walls forming a substantially U-shaped receptacle therebetween. A canopy is collapsibly received within the storage receptacle which may be expanded to form a light or privacy screen. A side rail is secured to the inwardly facing side of each shell portion side wall which may be pivoted to a vertical position when the shell portions are in an open position providing a protective barrier about the diaper changing table.

Abstract: A baby blanket assembly for covering and protecting a baby from adverse weather and rain, snow, or water, and for use as a water resistant playmat for a baby, the assembly including a first layer of soft, flexible blanket-type material, and a second layer of water resistant material, the second layer being connected to the first layer. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a pocket is provided for receipt and protection of the head of the infant from adverse weather conditions. In an additional preferred embodiment of the invention, VELCRO.RTM. is connected to the edges of the blanket for connection of the blanket to baby carriers or for connection to another of the strips connected to the blanket assembly.

Abstract: A sunshade comprising a plurality of U-shaped bails, pivotally joined together at each end by a plastic joint. A fabric web ensheathes the bails and creates a shade-providing canopy when the bails are spread apart from each other in fan-like fashion. A framing bail frames a fabric sleeve and provides means for supporting the sunshade in an upright position. The sleeve non-mechanically engages the sunshade to the back portion of a chair. A cover, that extends beyond the sleeve, is used when the portable sunshade is in a folded disposition. The ends of the cover are fastened together to keep the sunshade clamped shut. A strap is provided for ease of carrying the portable sunshade.

Abstract: A general utility child seat apparatus includes a one-piece contoured child car seat, a mobile carriage assembly, a handle assembly, and a sunshade assembly adapting the child seat apparatus for multiple uses, for instance, as a stroller, carrier, or rocker, in addition to a car seat. The child seat is a contoured body of one-piece rigid molded structure, having a seat portion and back portion integrally formed in an inclined relation to the seat portion. The mobile carriage assembly is mounted to a rear side of the body and is capable of adjustment between an erected condition for movably supporting the body and a collapsed condition for storing on the body. The handle assembly and sunshade assembly are pivotally mounted about a common axis to opposite sides of the body and have inverted U-shaped configurations permitting them to arch over the body.

The collapsible netting assembly includes a collapsible arched enclosure having a top and side panels formed of an open weave fabric, a surrounding skirt adapted to be fitted about the stroller and secure the assembly thereto, a collapsible frame to define the arched enclosure, and a sealable opening to allow quick and easy access to the child within the netting.

Abstract: A weather shield for an infant's seat such as a baby carrier, of a well known type having a carrying handle, formed as a shell into which an infant is seated. The weather shield is easy to use and comfortable for the baby including in main part an elongated panel to which triangular side panels are attached. A front section of the elongated panel is transparent permitting the baby to see and be seen. The elongated panel is made of a sheet material capable of shedding water, as are the side panels when the weather is intended for winter use. Snaps or the like are provided for attaching the weather shield to the infant's seat such that it cannot be readily displaced by the wind or by the infant.

Abstract: For use with an upwardly open infant seat in which an infant reclines, a removable pliable water-repellent cover adapted to extend loosely and continuously over the entire seat except for a central face opening and having a peripheral elastic element for releaseably encircling the seat to hold the cover in place, the cover being entirely without rigid framing of its own.

Abstract: A combination mat, carrying bag and visor includes a substantially rectangular pad having an outer layer of liquid-impervious material and an inner cushioning layer of plastic foam or the like, the pad having a plurality of sections interconnected by fold lines so that the pad in the planar condition serves as an infant diaper changing pad, with releasable fastening strips being provided in a selected arrangement on the various sections of the pad to permit the pad sections to be folded into overlying relationship forming a bag having a closure flap or, into a U-shaped configuration to serve as a sun visor on an infant carrier such as a stroller or the like, with fastening strips being provided which may be attached to the carrier and interengage with the fastener strips on the pad to hold the pad in the visor position. The pad includes a pocket containing a netting which may be withdrawn and used as an insect barrier for the infant in the carrier.

Abstract: A crib sheet for retaining an infant in a central region of a crib or bed and preventing such an infant from displacing a blanket covering when unattended. The sheet includes a central pleat which extends along the entire sheet length and is sewed or otherwise fixed in a folded configuration at the ends thereof. A sleeper jacket is attached at an opening across the central pleat to form an integral sleeper unit. The extendable pleat between the fixed ends permits safe movement for the infant without binding the sheet or causing other discomfort.

Abstract: An improved sleeping bag construction having an expandable pillow pocket at the head thereof, a bag portion extending along less than one-half the length of the sleeping bag, the upper portion of which includes a pair of longitudinally arranged edges which extend substantially beyond the bottom portion of the bag, and a foot portion having a longitudinally extensible and laterally expandable section within the bag portion at the foot of the sleeping bag, the bag and pillow pocket characterized by large, radiused corners and being joined about the edge by piping strips.
