  • Patent number: 11825208
Abstract: An image capturing apparatus communicates with a strobe device used for image capturing and acquires preliminary light emission result information performed by the strobe device. A light control process for determining a light amount of main emission by the strobe device for main image capturing is executed based on the acquired preliminary light emission result information. In a case where an image capturing frequency for repeating image capturing is higher than a threshold value, information which is different from information on the light amount of main emission and is used for settings of preliminary light emission or main light emission is communicated by dividing the information into information acquired by a first communication processing before preliminary light emission and information communicated by a second communication processing after preliminary light emission.

  • Patent number: 10772326
Abstract: Methods and compositions based upon natural phenolic aromatic aldehydes (ex: cinnamaldehyde, benzaldehyde) are provided, which find use as curing agents for systemic bacterial infections of living plants, in particular against Gram negative bacteria and more particularly species of Liberibacter, including Ca. Liberibacter asiaticus. The curing agent compositions described are used synergistically with other antimicrobial compounds, such as those that plants manufacture or release as a result of biotic or abiotic stresses, including the application of the subject aldehydes, certain proteins, whether produced by recombinant methods or not, nanoparticles, nanoemulsions, or by natural essential oils such as carvacrol or allicin. The aromatic aldehydes have high volatility and exhibit phytotoxicity when applied above certain amounts. Systemic infections and infestations of a variety of plant parts can be treated, including those of leaves and roots.

  • Patent number: 8658193
Abstract: Technologies are described herein for styptic compounds comprising a hemostatic or styptic agent suspended within a hydrophobic carrier medium. Example carrier mediums may include waxes, lipids, oils, or combinations thereof. The compound may be a semisolid at room temperature and soft enough to be easily dispensed and formed into or onto bleeding tissue of an animal or human. The hydrophobic qualities of the carrier medium can protect the styptic agent from absorbing moisture. The carrier medium can mechanically support positioning treatments adjacent to the bleeding tissue. The carrier medium can further serve to mechanically seal the tissue to aid in hemostasis while also protecting the tissue from debris and contamination. The carrier medium can aid in maintaining moisture within the tissue. Slurry-based manufacturing processes can support a substantially homogeneous dispersal of styptic agent throughout the carrier medium.
