Abstract: Disclosed is a vertical or a sloped glazing system that facilitates wire routing from electrically producing or consumptive glazing materials such as solar PV panels or electrochromic glass. The glazing system includes vertical and horizontal framing members, each with enclosed cavities and outward facing gutters. The vertical framing member gutter is deeper than the horizontal framing member gutter, creating an offset between the enclosed cavities such that a portion of the vertical wall of the vertical framing member gutter aligns with the enclosed cavity of the horizontal framing member. Electrical wire can be routed from the vertical framing member gutter into the horizontal framing member enclosed cavity through a wire-receiving aperture in the vertical frame member gutter wall portion that is aligned with the horizontal framing member enclosed cavity. • Patent number: 8186108
Abstract: A medical services unit for use in health care facilities where high security is required, such as in prison and psychiatric hospitals. The unit comprises a floor-to-ceiling column with an internal medical services section to provide a plurality of medical services. The medical services section is protected by a rotating steel door that prevents access to the enclosed services. The medical services section also includes a sub-door made of a transparent, shatterproof polymer, such as polycarbonate. Thus, the clear cover panel permits visual access to the gauges and controls for the services, but prevents unauthorized physical access to them. The column is entirely enclosed in a protective casing made out of rolled steel. Doors are provided in the casing for providing access b authorized personnel only to the internal medical services section.

  • Patent number: 8093510
Abstract: A cable raceway system includes a device bracket and a device cover for outfitting an elongate cable raceway with a downward facing electrical device. The raceway, configured for attachment to a wall surface, is of the type having an interior wireway. The device bracket is cooperative with the raceway for access to the wireway, and includes a device support for connecting an electrical device to the bracket, in a downward facing orientation with respect to the raceway. More particularly, when an electrical device is attached to the device support, an access face of the electrical device is oriented generally perpendicularly with respect to the wall surface. The cover cooperates with the bracket and raceway for covering the bracket, and has a faceplate portion complementary to the electrical device.
