  • Patent number: 11180947
Abstract: A corner support assembly for metal framed doors reinforces mounting of a metal door, so that the door molding easily attaches to extruded vertical and horizontal frame members of the corner support assembly. A top wall of the frame members with guide lines and molding that sits into a snap-fit mating relationship with corresponding frame members; thereby negating the need for notching. A heavy shear block provides structural integrity. The shear block abuts the intersection of the horizontal and vertical frame members, sliding between molding grooves in the vertical frame member. The shear block and horizontal and vertical frame members are secured into place with at least one of: a shear screw and a plug weld. An elongated threaded bolt reinforces connections between the horizontal and vertical frame members. A rubber glass setting block rests adjacent to the top wall of frame members to receive a glass pane.

Abstract: The invention(s) disclosed herein include various panels, components of panels, partitions, systems, and/or methods that increase acoustic insulation by mitigating sound (e.g., before it enters an area and/or a room). For example, some embodiments include a movable partition that is comprised of a plurality of panels that each hang from the ceiling, where the interface between two partitioned panels includes various gaskets, damping elements, and perforations that mitigate sound transmission from one side of the partition to the other. Other features of the partition (and panels that make up the partition) include upper and lower drops seals that in some embodiments have a labyrinth-like design and thus mitigate the flow of air between the partition and the ceiling/floor. Also, a membrane positioned inside the panel is disclosed that is especially effective at mitigating low frequency sound, for example.

  • Patent number: 8646231
Abstract: The connection between two partitions of offices is assured by a post of angle and a spacer. The section of the post of angle contains a circular part and a neighboring part in the shape of dovetail. The spacer is a profile, a section of which corresponds to a truncated triangle. The base and the extremities of the sides of the spacer contact the circular part of the post of angle. This contact assures of one part the alignment of both profiles and on the other hand a finish of joint whatever is the angle between partitions. The fixation of an element of partition such as one profile (22) or a facing in the U profile is assured by an intermediate profile snapped up at the bottom of U of the U profile. The fixation of a profile in a U profile is realized by insertion of the extremity of the profile in the hollow of U followed by a rotation of a quarter of tour of the profile around its main axis to clamp its extremity in the U.
