  • Patent number: 11015343
Abstract: A laminated plate-type sandwich insulation shear wall with tie bolts, including a prefabricated external wall, a sandwich insulation layer, a cast-in-place concrete layer, a prefabricated internal laminated wall board, and an external wall connector. Several bolts disposed between the external wall and the internal laminated wall board. Each tie bolt consists of cylinder head screw, gland, sleeve, and tie screw casing. During installation, the sandwich insulation wall with the bolts are installed in place in a suspended manner and is temporarily fixed, the tying and connection of reinforcing steel bars is completed, a formwork is supported, concrete is poured, the cylinder head screw is removed after the cast-in-place concrete solidifies and the strength of the cast-in-place concrete increases, and the bolt hole is filled with foamed polyurethane. The sandwich insulation wall solves the problem of mutual destruction of the external and internal walls due to the indoor and outdoor temperatures.

Abstract: A precast concrete floor system that eliminates the need for column corbels and beam ledges while being very shallow. The present system consists of continuous precast columns, prestressed rectangular beams, hollow-core planks, and cast-in-place composite topping. Testing results have indicated that a 12 inch deep flat soffit precast floor system has adequate capacity to carry gravity loads (including 100 psf live load) in a 30 ft×30 ft bay size. Testing has also shown that shear capacity of the ledge-less hollow-core-beam connections can be accurately predicted using the shear friction theory.

The side plate and/or end plate of the steel box has through holes for concrete flowing therebetween. In this way, the workability of concrete grouting and tamping are improved, and the phenomena of hive, segregation, or floating can be avoided. It can also enhance the performance of beam-column joints (e.g. with better confinement ability, etc.). Applying the invention, the efficiency and accuracy of constructing beam-column joints can be increased, and in addition to better ensure the structural safety, it can also reduce construction manpower and schedule.

Abstract: A masonry wall system includes a plurality of blocks. Each block has two external side walls and is adapted for use adjacent to further said blocks such that the side walls form at least one wall surface of a wall structure (40) constructed from the blocks. A plurality of the blocks include a tongue (8) projecting from a sidewall thereof. The blocks can be arranged such that a plurality of the tongues (8) combine to form a plurality of furring ridges (42) on the wall structure having a required spacing therebetween. In a preferred embodiment the spacing between the furring ridges (42) is greater than the length of the longest of the blocks used. A method of assembling a masonry wall is also disclosed.

Abstract: A method of forming a portion of a monolithic concrete building provides for two-dimensional support of horizontally extensive portions of the building at all times and thus reduces the strength required of the vertically extensive supports. The method employs flanged wall members having horizontal extents substantially equal to the selected room size. Each of the wall members has at least one flange extending horizontally towards a parallel facing wall member by about ten to twenty five percent of the intramural separation between the walls of the room being constructed. Horizontal floor or ceiling slabs that link the horizontal flanges may be cast in situ using a form plate supported by a temporary trussed joist.

  • Patent number: 6920728
Abstract: Site cast or pre-cast columns aligned and braced by pre-cast pre-stressed floor beams are used to erect a concrete skeleton structure for a building. The ends of the horizontal beams are imbedded in the columns at floor levels to stabilize and complete the skeleton. The horizontal beams are pre-stressed and are cast with passages that permit insertion of continuous reinforcing tendons into a network throughout each floor level. The tendons are subsequently post-tensioned so to tie the beams together and to the columns to reinforce the skeleton. Slab drop-forms starting at the roof and progressing floor-by-floor downward allow monolithic post-tensioned floor slabs to be cast to tie the skeleton into a unitary structure. The beams are usually integrated (buried) into each monolithic floor slab, keyed, doweled and bonded with bonding agent at cold joints to become a part of the slab structure.

  • Patent number: 6832455
Abstract: A method for fabricating a space frame structure, such as a dome, for covering an open space, with the space frame structure being assembled from beam members, which intersect at rigid mode joints. The beam members and other structural components used in the skeleton of the space frame are made from pre-cast concrete, which has not been subjected to pre-tensioning and the rigid node joints are formed in situ, for example, by casting concrete joints incorporating the ends of the beam members. The loads imposed by the weight of the beam members on the beams and the node joints effectively simulate pre-stressing of the components which act within the assembled structure as pre-stressed concrete.

  • Patent number: 6745532
Abstract: The invention relates to the articulated imbrication of concrete slabs i(in situ) wherein joints are formed by laying i(in situ), along joint lines, a simple armored mesh device with a cut and fold pattern which has been already prepared in the workshop. Advantage is taken from the retraction phenomenon in order to achieve an alternative indentation along the joints of adjacent slabs of continuous cast concrete, susceptible of forming satisfactorily a knee—or gimbal-joint connection between the joints. The process is complemented with a concrete separator element which facilitates the formation of the crack and prevents water from reaching the platform, and which can be fixed to said device. The invention applies to concrete surface roads, highways and harbour zones of goods warehouses and enables to design and make road surfaces without bases and subbases.
