  • Patent number: 9901856
Abstract: A fabric filter for separating particulate matter from a gas stream includes a filter compartment and an inlet opening for delivering at least a portion of the gas stream to the filter compartment. The fabric filter further includes one or more filter elements within the filter compartment and a louver assembly for providing access for the at least a portion of the gas stream to said filter compartment. The louver assembly has a first louver associated with the inlet opening and movable between a first-louver-first position and a first-louver-second position. The louver assembly has a second louver associated with the inlet opening and movable between a second-louver-first position and a second-louver-second position. The first louver and the second louver are movable independent of each other to facilitate or restrict fluid communication through said opening.

  • Patent number: 8721771
Abstract: An exhaust gas plume mitigation process and system includes either mixing secondary heat into a moisture rich exhaust gas stream, or diverting a moisture rich exhaust gas stream into a primary exhaust stack having hot exhaust gases flowing therethrough. Moisture rich exhaust gas from a liquid concentrator may be diverted into a high temperature exhaust stack of an engine, a generator, or a flare. The high temperature exhaust gases from the engine, the generator, or the flare raise the temperature of the moisture rich exhaust gas from the concentrator. The high temperature exhaust gases from the engine, the generator, or the flare are also lower in moisture content, so that the moisture rich exhaust gas from the concentrator is diluted by the drier high temperature exhaust gas. As a result, the mixed gas is less likely to develop a moisture plume upon exit to the atmosphere.

  • Patent number: 8302674
Abstract: An air conditioning system, which can automatically remove a malodor generated due to condensate water remaining in an evaporator during a predetermined period of time after operation of an air conditioner or turning-off of the air conditioner and control a filtering mode time of a filter to filter an air. The air conditioning system characteristically comprises a shiftable deodorization filter (30 or 40) located on a flow channel of the cool air passageway and operationally moved to a filtering mode position so as to screen the flow channel of the cool air passageway during a predetermined period of time after an air conditioner is turned on or off, whereby the air passing through the cool air passageway C and a malodor contained in the air are filtered.

  • Patent number: 8092200
Abstract: In a gas compressor, a cyclone block is configured to include a substantially cylindrical space into which a compressed gas is introduced to separate refrigeration oil from the gas. A pressure bypass is formed in the substantially cylindrical space defined by an outer cylindrical unit and an inner cylindrical unit to communicate with a discharge chamber having lower pressure than that of the substantially cylindrical space. The pressure bypass includes a pressure valve to open and close the pressure bypass in accordance with the internal pressure of the substantially cylindrical space having the pressure bypass. During a high speed operation of a compressor unit, the coolant gas including unseparated refrigeration oil is discharged from the pressure bypass.

  • Patent number: 7425224
Abstract: A high pressure trapping system is provided to collect chemical vapor by-products in successive stages through chemical reasons conducted at progressively colder temperatures. A hot trap receives chemical vapor exhaust and collects a first waste, typically a solid, as a result of the high temperature completing a chemical reason in the vapor. Surviving gaseous by-products continue to the next process. The following chamber is colder, and collects waste as a solid or a liquid as a result of a chemical process dependent on the cold temperature. Sometimes a third chamber is used for even a colder chemical reaction to collect waste products. As a solid, these waste products are easier to collect, remove, and even reuse.

  • Patent number: 6689464
Abstract: A method for producing bisphenol A in prill form is disclosed. Molten bisphenol is top-fed into a prilling tower via a plate containing a plurality of nozzles. A gas coolant guided through a circuit is led into said tower in a counter flow direction. The prills are cooled to about room temperature, collected at the bottom of the tower and removed. Also disclosed is the device for carrying out the inventive method and the prills thus produced.
