  • Patent number: 10986969
Abstract: A vacuum cleaner dust container having a dust bag, made of an air permeable material, and a connector plate, surrounding an opening in the dust bag. The connector plate is configured by the connector plate being slid into a holder of a vacuum cleaner to correctly position the opening therein. The connector plate has a central portion surrounding the opening, and an extending portion projecting from the central portion. The extending portion has a lower bending stiffness than the central portion about an axis perpendicular to the direction in which it is inserted. Thereby extending portion can be bent out of the plane of the central portion and into a curvature without bending the central portion, which facilitates fitting the connector plate in a vacuum cleaner canister with curved inner walls.

Abstract: A filter bag structure for use in a baghouse that has a tubesheet with a plurality of openings. The filter bag structure includes a substantially cylindrical filter bag having an axial end portion formed into a cuff. The filter bag has filtration media of a substantially electrically non-conductive material. The cuff of the filter bag is to be positioned adjacent an opening and mounted to structure of the tubesheet. An electrically conductive ground wire extends along a portion of the filter bag and has a portion to contact the tubesheet. An electrically conductive anti-collapse ring extends around another portion of the filter bag. An electrically conductive cover secures the anti-collapse ring to the filter bag and provides electrical conductivity between the ground wire and anti-collapse ring.

  • Patent number: 7258709
Abstract: An improved bag docking assembly for aligning a vacuum bag for engagement with a dirty air outlet nozzle on a vacuum cleaner, and for retaining the vacuum bag in the position of engagement. The assembly incorporates an anchor member and a mounting member. The anchor member serves to attach the bag docking assembly to the vacuum cleaner. The anchor member can be a substantially flat piece of plastic having a central opening for closely receiving the dirty air outlet nozzle on the vacuum cleaner. The central opening can have a shoulder for engaging a rim or similar protrusion formed about the perimeter of the dirty air outlet nozzle. Additionally, protrusions are located on the anchor member that align with voids in the vacuum bag collar to ensure that correct alignment of the vacuum bag has been achieved.

  • Patent number: 7251854
Abstract: A vacuum cleaner for use with a dust bag provided with a flange adapted to be slidably received in a bracket pivotally mounted in a dust collection chamber between a first position in engagement with a suction opening of the dust collection chamber and a second position removed from the first position. The dust collection chamber is provided with a lid selectively pivotable between open and closed positions. Movement of the lid to its closed position is contingent upon the flange of a dust bag having been inserted into the bracket to release the bracket from a blocking mechanism effective in the second position of the bracket and constituted by an upper edge of the bracket and a groove in the lid.

  • Patent number: 7118607
Abstract: A filter stop for a vacuum cleaner contains a dust chamber that is closable with a lid and receives a dust bag with a reinforcement plate in a specific fitting position. The filter stop has a base plate that is movable between two stopping positions parallel to the direction in which the reinforcement plate of the dust bag is inserted into the dust chamber. The filter stop is also provided with a swiveling lever that can be brought into a position activating the vacuuming function of the vacuum cleaner by the reinforcement plate when the dust bag is correctly positioned. The swiveling lever is in a position preventing the vacuuming function from being activated when the dust bag is not correctly positioned. The filter stop can be brought into a stop position activating the vacuuming function exclusively when the swiveling lever is actuated by a shoulder of the reinforcement plate.

  • Patent number: RE39595
Abstract: A vacuum cleaner filter bag retainer includes slots on each side which receive a cardboard plate attached to a filter bag. The plate is slid into the slots of the filter bag retainer such that openings in the plate and bag match with an opening in the filter bag retainer. The retainer is attached to a tank through an opening in the tank, and an inlet fitting extends from outside the tank, through the retainer, and into the bag. The inlet fitting, therefore, prevents the bag from sliding out of the slots in the retainer. A swivel fitting loosely traps the inlet fitting adjacent the filter bag retainer through threads on the swivel fitting and the retainer. The inlet fitting also holds a hose to the inlet fitting.
