  • Patent number: 10194586
Abstract: An apparatus, system and method for raising or lowering a mower deck on a stand-on, zero-turn mower. The apparatus is a mower that includes a hydraulic cylinder and piston which are selectively engaged with a deck hanging assembly used to secure the mower deck to the mower's frame. The deck hanging assembly includes a pivot rod from which one or more tabs extend. The piston is selectively engaged with the one or more tabs. When extended from the cylinder, the piston rotates the tabs and thereby the pivot rod in a first direction and lowers the mower deck. When retracted into the cylinder the piston rotates the tabs and thereby the piston in a second direction and raises the mower deck. When the hydraulic system is disengaged from the mower deck, the deck may be manually raised or lowered.

  • Patent number: 9301448
Abstract: An stripper comprising a plurality of ducting units, a platform, a bin, a header, and a chassis. The platform supporting the plurality of ducting units. The bin capable of holding a harvested crop. The header is capable of harvesting the harvested crop. The plurality of ducting units convey the harvested crop from the header to the bin. The chassis supports the platform, the bin, the headers and the plurality of ducting units. The plurality of ducting units comprise hollow channel comprising a passage between an entry at a first end and an exit at a second end of the plurality of ducting units. The channel in the plurality of ducting units are formed between the entry to the exit in a two vectors. The two vectors comprise a y-axis and a z-axis. The channel in the plurality of ducting units are capable of moving the harvested crop from the header to the bin without moving the harvested crop in an x-axis direction and thereby limit clogging of the harvested crop in the passage of the plurality of ducting units.

  • Patent number: 8057335
Abstract: An emergency braking system for use in connection with a drive apparatus including a drive belt and pulley system for transferring power from a prime mover to a transmission or transaxle. The braking system includes a pulley engaged to the drive belt and a spring engaged to the pulley to provide a bias force thereto. When tension from the belt is removed from the pulley, the spring forces the pulley into engagement with an actuator to engage a brake mechanism.

  • Patent number: 7950210
Abstract: A cutter bar drive system for a draper header has a cutter bar disposed at a leading edge of the header to cut crop. A cutter bar gear box in operative engagement with the cutter bar is mounted on a forward portion of the header with a drive train mounted on the header to drive the gear box and cutter bar. An external flywheel is mounted along the drive train remote from the gear box and is engaged with the drive train to reduce vibration in the cutter bar and gear box from a remote, external position.

  • Patent number: 7669397
Abstract: An autonomous mass damper is positioned proximate to each reel cutting unit in a ganged configuration of such cutting units. One mass damper is preferably mounted or directly carried on each such reel cutting unit. The mass damper is free to move independently of vertical up and down movement of the reel cutting unit as the reel cutting unit travels over the ground. The mass damper is connected to the reel cutting unit by a coupler or by coupling components that allow the mass damper to move in a counter motion to vertical up and down bouncing or bobbing of the reel cutting unit. The counter motion of the mass damper lessens or damps the bouncing or bobbing of the reel cutting unit to provide a more consistent height of cut.

  • Publication number: 20090277142
Abstract: A damped guiding unit for a portable implement includes a connection element arranged at one end of a guide rod element, for connection of a tool element for the sawing, cutting and/or scything of undergrowth or of grass. A damping element is arranged on the connection element for the damping of oscillations or vibrations caused by the tool element. A holding element is arranged on the guide rod element for holding the portable implement. The holding element and the connection element are structural elements which are respectively separated from each other in that the holding element is associated with a first assembly and the connection element is associated with a further assembly separated from the first assembly. The holding element is further arranged at a distance from the connection element between the one end and the other end of the guide rod element, so that both a direct guiding of the portable implement and also an intensive vibration damping of the holding element is achieved.

  • Patent number: 7594334
Abstract: A vibration-absorbing coupler (30A) which is capable of suppressing the torsional vibration of the transmission shaft (7) and also capable of enhancing the durability thereof is disclosed. This vibration-absorbing coupler (30A) is featured in that the rotation of an output shaft (31) of an internal combustion engine (6) is enabled to transmit to a transmission shaft (7) through a torsion coil spring (40A) and torsional vibration of the transmission shaft (7) is enabled to be absorbed by the torsion coil spring (40A). The vibration-absorbing coupler (30A) further includes a regulator (50, 37A) for regulating the rotation of the torsion coil spring (40A) so as not to allow it to twist more than a predetermined angle.
