Abstract: A mowing apparatus has at least one support track adapted to be mounted to an area to be maintained and a mowing device adapted to be supported on the at least one support track. The mowing device of the mowing apparatus has a power supply for moving the mowing device along the at least one support track and for operating the mowing device to carry out a mowing operation. The at least one support track of the mowing apparatus is configured to guide the mowing device to move along the at least one support track during a normal mowing operation. A grass maintenance system is also provided and has one or more grass maintenance devices, such as a mowing device.
Abstract: A deleafer apparatus including a drum assembly partially enclosed by a shroud. A rotating blade assembly is located within an interior volume of the drum assembly. An air circulation device, located beneath the drum assembly, draws air through an opening defined by the shroud and into the interior volume of the drum assembly. In use, the deleafer apparatus is carried by a transport in a direction of travel along a row of plants or vines. The rotating blade assembly strips leaves that extend into the interior volume of the drum assembly from the plants or vines. The deleafer apparatus also includes a break-away mechanism that permits a portion of the deleafer apparatus to rotate outward relative to a transport mounting to accommodate obstacles that may reside in the pathway of the plants or vines.

Abstract: A mobile vegetation cutting apparatus that has a mobile chassis adapted for travel on a railroad trackway. Attached to the mobile chassis are at least two independently pivotal boom assemblies that can be selectively pivoted to vegetation cutting positions on both sides of the trackway. A cutting head assembly having a vegetation cutting member operably attached thereto is attached to each boom assembly. Each cutting head assembly is equipped with guard members that can be pivoted to open and closed positions for permitting large items of vegetation to engage a cutting member while substantially preventing cutting debris from being ejected therefrom.
