Abstract: A method for operating a textile machine with several identical workstations which each have a basic requirement for negative pressure for regular production operation and an additional requirement for negative pressure following an interruption to production at the workstation, and with a vacuum system with limited suction force to exert the negative pressure on the workstations. Abstract: For the piecing of a yarn in an spinning device, various computation formulas are stored in a control device into which calculated values as well as special data converted into numerical values relating in particular to the fiber material, the yarn and the spinning element are first entered to compute and select settings for operations relevant to the piecing process. A feeding device feeding a fiber sliver to the spinning device is first brought to a high pre-feeding speed by means of such pre-programmed values and converted data. From this pre-feeding speed, the feeding speed is greatly decelerated in steps to its piecing feeding speed in coordination with the release of the yarn to be fed back into the spinning element.

  • Patent number: 7036300
Abstract: A procedure and apparatus for start-up spinning of a thread in an open-end spinning apparatus is provided. A first and second auxiliary roll-pair are presentable within a thread course during start up spinning. A source of a suction air stream within the spinning apparatus is positioned below the first and second roll-pairs. The source of suction air stream creates a suction flow of air to induce the thread end into the spinning apparatus for start up spinning. A control center is in communication with the first and second roll-pairs, so that the control center controls them. A thread storage unit is positioned between the first and second roll-pairs proximal to the course of the thread. The thread storage unit is in communication with the control center so that the thread storage unit is activated to store and release the thread during start up spinning.

Abstract: The invention concerns a start of spinning or the method of piecing for spinning positions of air spinning frames, which, during a spinning process, produce a thread from a longitudinal fiber structure and which, for this, comprise a fineness influencing unit with parts drivable at the inlet side and part drivable at the outlet side with clamping points, a means for the air twist generation and a means for the thread take-off, whereby, after an interruption of the spinning process, the resumption of the production of the thread comprises the following steps. In particular, the method does provide for, that the start-up of the part of the drafting unit, driven at the outlet side, takes place with a subsequent time coordinated and delayed start-up of the part driven at the inlet side, in such a manner that the end portions of the torn longitudinal fiber structure and of the thread end overlap and pass, in overlapping condition, the clamping point of the part driven at the outlet side.

  • Patent number: 6691501
Abstract: In a spinning position of a spinning machine a longitudinal fibre array first is refined in a drafting process, and the refined fibre array then is subject to a twist imparting process, and is taken off the twist-imparting zone as a yarn. In case of an interruption of the spinning process, the intake into the refinement zone is stopped before the delivery from the refining zone is stopped in such a manner that the longitudinal fibre array is severed between the intake and the delivery zones forming a free front end zone. The free end of the yarn, generated by the interruption of the spinning process, is treated in such a manner that a yarn end zone is tapered and is positioned upstream from the twist imparting zone. When the spinning process is resumed, the movements of the yarn end zone and of the fibre array front end zone for imparting twist are coordinated in time sequence in such a manner that these two zones overlap as they are subject to the twist imparting process.

  • Patent number: 6666012
Abstract: During the pneumatic holding of a yarn spun from fibers, the intensity of the air stream holding the yarn is changed to adapt to the prevailing working conditions. Such a change in intensity of this air stream can take place here in adaptation to different work phases and/or to the character of the held yarn. In order to reduce the intensity of the air stream, a secondary air stream may be fed to it at a point which is not reached by the yarn held by the air stream, or the cross-section of a pneumatic device conveying the air stream is changed. The pneumatic device is associated with an air control device which influences the intensity of the air stream and is connected to a control device which can be adjusted or programmed to take various working conditions into account. By means of the air control device an opening can be controlled through which the line can be connected to the atmosphere surrounding it.
