Plural Multiple Twist Devices Patents (Class 57/58.54)
  • Patent number: 11332853
Abstract: The method for producing a wire element by interlacing at least a first strand and a second strand, during which strand tension control is effected by includes defining an assembly tension set point representative of a state of longitudinal tension to be obtained in the first strand when said first strand reaches the assembly point. The method also includes measuring the actual assembly tension applied in the first strand, said measurement being taken at a first tension measurement point located along the first strand and upstream of the assembly point. The method proceeds with operating a tension regulating member such as a capstan, which acts on the first strand upstream of the assembly point such as to cause the actual assembly tension within said first strand to converge automatically towards the assembly tension set point.

  • Publication number: 20130177264
Abstract: A fabric is provided that comprises at least two different fiber types. The fiber types are chosen from discarded natural or organic fibers and/or recycled material, for example hemp, organic cotton, and RPET, respectively. The fibers are spun into a blended yarn and are then spun or woven into a fabric. The fabric comprises discarded material and/or recycled material and is therefore makes more efficient use of raw materials and reduces waste.

  • Publication number: 20130133304
Abstract: A machine is provided for processing elongate strand-form material, having a rotatably mounted rotor bow which is used to twist the strand-form material and, proceeding from a cross-sectional area, extends in the direction of a longitudinal axis. In the direction of this longitudinal axis, the rotor bow extends in a curved manner at least in portions. In this direction, the rotor bow has a longitudinal groove extending substantially orthogonal to this cross-sectional area. At least regions of this longitudinal groove are covered by at least one guide element. In this rotor bow, the strand-form material is guided movably in the direction of the longitudinal axis. The present rotor bow is preferably made of plastics, preferably reinforced with fibres.

  • Patent number: 7802418
Abstract: A method and apparatus for production of a yarn, by plying, twisting or covering several basic yarns, subjected to a prior transformation, is provided. At least one of the basic yarns is different from the others and/or is subjected to a different prior transformation. The prior transformation may be carried out in parallel in the same machine, by independent transformation members able to be independently controlled. A slackening of yarn tension resulting from the prior transformation to give the desired tension at an assembly point is carried out on yarn feeding devices. Routing of the yarns is achieved by guide members towards the point of assembly, where the staple yarns are combined and arranged in parallel. A bobbin receives the assembled yarns in a device, constituting or associated with a positive feed device operating without slippage with relation to the yarn.

  • Patent number: 6289661
Abstract: In accordance with the present invention there is provided a wire guide holder for use with a flyer bow comprising a clamp having a base having a first surface for placement adjacent the flyer bow and a second surface in opposition to the first surface. A first gripping flange extends from the base and a second gripping flange extends from the base. The first and second gripping flanges secure the wire guide holder to the flyer bow without the need for fasteners through the flyer bow. A guide eye engaged to the base. The wire guide holder for use with a flyer bow further comprises a clamping system including a plurality of straps; at least one fastener for securing a first strap of the plurality of straps to a second strap of the plurality of straps about the flyer bow; and a guide eye engaged therebetween.

  • Patent number: 6209299
Abstract: An apparatus is provided comprising a first twisting device that dispenses a first wire and imparts a twist to the same, a second twisting device that receives the twisted first wire and twists the same about a second wire, and a metering device or capstan positioned on the outside of the second twisting device that controls the input velocity of the first and second wires. The apparatus can further include a third twisting device that dispenses a second wire and imparts a twist to the same. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the first and second wires are back-twisted and the second twisting device receives the first and second back-twisted wires and twins or pairs the same. A tension transducer is also provided which measures the tension of the wires before they enter the second twisting device.
