Take-up Type Patents (Class 57/58.65)
  • Patent number: 10801133
Abstract: A thread intermingling device for textile machines includes a nozzle oriented to intercept the path of the base threads, a corresponding compressed-air feed line and intercepting means to intercept the line. The base threads are led next to the nozzle and impinged by a jet of compressed air causing intermingling. A control unit controls the intercepting means for shutting down the feed to the nozzle instantaneously or with delay with respect to the device stop and for reactivating the feed of compressed air to the nozzle instantaneously or in advance with respect to the device restart, and for the feedback automatic reactivation depending on the detected speed or movement of base threads.

  • Patent number: 6378283
Abstract: A process and apparatus for manufacturing multiple conductor cable having improved transmission parameters. The apparatus includes a rotatable alignment die having a plurality of apertures. At least one strand of the multiple conductor cable is caused to traverse an aperture of the rotatable alignment die. A rotation motor causes the strand to rotate about its elongate axis, and a translation motor causes the strand, or the cable, to traverse along its elongate axis. The multiple conductors are brought into a predetermined mutual mechanical alignment that is calculated to produce a cable having at least one improved transmission parameter. The cable can additionally include a support member adapted to maintain the conductors in the mutual mechanical alignment. A binder is applied to the cable to maintain the conductors in the predetermined mutual alignment.

  • Patent number: 6318062
Abstract: A wire twisting machine and method provide a randomly varying lay to pairs of twisted wires forming a cable. A pair of wires are fed into a motor driven bow mechanism which twists the wires at a given rate of speed. The bow winding speed is sensed to provide a signal to a control system employing a computer which generates a randomly varying signal between a selected minimum and maximum range. The random signal is applied to an oscillator which provides a varying frequency signal to a power supply unit. A pulsed direct voltage signal then controls a stepping motor which applies the randomly varying lay signal to vary the speed of the capstan winding the wires with respect to the independent bow speed. This varies the length of lay of the twisted wires within controlled limits.

  • Patent number: 6286294
Abstract: A wire stranding machine is provided, being capable of stranding the wire materials evenly and uniformly even if two wire materials are used, by installing the capstan assembly outside of the rotary structure on the wire incoming side. A rotary structure having the winding drum inside of a flyer bow is supported by main shafts, and the capstan assembly is disposed adjacent to the main shaft on the wire incoming side. The capstan assembly includes a pair of capstan members consisting of main and auxiliary capstans, each having plural grooves on the outer circumferential surface thereof, and the main capstans are set opposite to each other. The capstan assembly is so arranged that the main and auxiliary capstans are set on the mounting member of the main shaft supporting the rotary structure and disposed parallel in the direction perpendicular to the axis of the main shaft. The main capstans are adapted to rotate at the same speed but in opposite directions to each other.

  • Patent number: 6244028
Abstract: In order to be able to operate a spindle as a multi twisting spindle as well as a doubling spindle or a bobbin peg, the spindle has a rotatably driven spindle shaft; a twisting pot rotatably driven by the spindle shaft and having a bottom with a radially extending yarn guide channel; a rotatingly driven spool carrier for receiving a spool; a hollow spindle axle centrally guided through the spool carrier and connected to the yarn guide channel; and a centering eye arranged on an extension of the hollow spindle axle. A placement member is introduced into the spool carrier and vertically reciprocated for placement especially of a doubled yarn onto the spool rotating together with the driven spool carrier.
