Abstract: An ornament comprises a decorative element and a hook-and-loop-type fastener for removably attaching the decorative element to a wearer's body. A first portion of the hook-and-loop-type fastener has fastening elements extending from one side thereof and an adhesive element is attached to another side. A release paper covers the adhesive element. A second portion of the hook-and-loop-type fastener has fastening elements extending from one side thereof and an adhesive element is attached to another side. The adhesive element on the second portion of the hook-and-loop-type fastener is removably attachable to a rear portion of the decorative element. Upon removal of the release paper, the adhesive surface of the first portion of the hook-and-loop-type fastener is attachable to a wearer's body. After attaching the first portion to the wearer's body, the second portion of the hook-and-loop-type fastener is engageable with the first portion to removably engage the decorative element with the wearer's body.

Abstract: A fingernail-adorning display in which the fingernail and a selected display object are spaced apart by a nominally-sized chain connected therebetween, so that dangling movement as well as the content of the display object contributes display value to the manner in which the fingernail is adorned.

Abstract: A small patch of flexible sheet material defines in its medial portion a hole to receive a fastening post of an earring to be carried, by a human earlobe. One surface of the patch is coated with adhesive material to adhere the patch to an earlobe. The adhesive coated surface may be provided with a protective cover for removal prior to patch use. The patch is positionable on one or both sides of a human earlobe with the hole defined in the patch coincident with an earring post hole defined in that earlobe, to reinforce the earlobe tissue about the earring post hole.

Abstract: A holding device for use with body adornments such as necklaces, bracelets, anklets, waist chains and the like so that the body adornment may be held in place on a wearer's body to prevent the body adornment from becoming displaced thereby maintaining proper orientation of the body adornment on the wearer's body. The holding device further allows the wearer to easily and readily adjust the effective length of the body adornment. The holding device utilizes removably replaceable adhesive that affixes the body adornment to a wearer's skin or clothing, the adhesive being of the type suitable for energetic activity as well as humid conditions. Also disclosed is a method for attaching a body adornment to the wearer's body or clothing.

Abstract: A comfortable, selectively removable earring comprises a decorative ornament portion, a heat and cold insulating as well as soft felt backing layer and a piece of two-sided adhesive-like tape. The felt backing is permanently secured to the earring ornament. The two-sided adhesive-like tape is overlayed on top of the felt backing. When desired to be worn, the wearer removes the paper covering from the exterior side of the two-sided adhesive-like tape to reveal the sticky adhesive. The earring can then be pressed against the ear and secured in place. It can be easily peeled off, as desired. For subsequent wearings of the earring, another piece of two side adhesive-like tape is overlayed onto the prior-used adhesive. Alternatively, the used adhesive can be removed from the felt backing and replaced with a new piece of two-sided adhesive-like tape.

Abstract: A device for securing an ornament or earring to an earlobe is provided having a strip of pliant material, the strip of material being adapted for location about a portion of the earlobe, the strip of material having adhesive at opposite ends for removable securement to opposite sides of the earlobe and adhesives on one of the opposite ends for removable securement of an ornament.

Abstract: An account is given of a process for making separate ornament stones with a heat-activated or thermoplastic adhesive coating, in the case of which a number of ornament stones are adhesively joined to a heat-activated adhesive foil and the single stones, with the heat-activated adhesive foil sticking to them, are freed from the compound structure made up of the separate stones and the foil.With this process single ornament stones may readily and simply be coated with a heat-activated adhesive of a true desired thickness where it is needed on the stones.

The jewelry has a decorative portion and a flexible and resilient pad secured to the back side of the decorative portion by which the jewelry is attached to the skin of the wearer. The decorative portion, in specific embodiments, may be a precious stone or an artificial stone or a look-alike, which in one embodiment changes color in response to the amount of body heat transferred from the wearer.

Abstract: A small adhesive plastic insert and/or a magnetic insert, mounted in an arm bracelet, a finger ring, a wrist watch or other arm ornament and shaped to conform to the appearance of the bracelet, ring, watch or ornament, permits the wearer of the bracelet, watch or ornament to pick up small objects on flat surfaces without difficulty. The insert is shaped and colored to harmonize with the appearance of the bracelet, ring, watch or ornament. The insert is removably held, for example by a force fit, and may be replaced when dirty.
