Abstract: A pair of tongs in combination with a basting apparatus and an optional sharpened edge that can be used as a knife for cutting into food to check for degree of cooking. Also a container for use as a holder of a tool, such as a pair of tongs with a basting apparatus, for applying a spreadable basting material (e.g., sauce) held in the container. The container provides a stable support of the tool, such as the pair of tongs, to prevent cross contamination of working surfaces and basting material on the basting apparatus, while at the same time providing a holder from which the tongs/baster efficiently can be retrieved for use.

Abstract: A rolling pin including a core, a silicone-containing jacket over the core defining a rolling surface. The jacket may be of such length and so positioned on the core as to define end regions of the jacket extending beyond the ends of the core; the jacket end regions being folded inward over the ends of the core; a cap securing to the core each folded inward end region of the jacket. A handle may be at each end of the core.

Abstract: A press for hot dog rolls and hamburger rolls uses a pair of elongate rollers that are attached to one another by one or more connector legs. One of the rollers serves as a handle while the other is radially rolled across a hot dog roll. A hamburger press is a short plate cylindrical member that has a flat lower surface and an upper surface that is removably attached to one of the rollers. With the opposing roller being used as a handle, the hamburger press is pressed onto a hamburger roll. A patty press is a cylindrical member with a flat bottom and an upwardly depending sidewall that define a hollow central portion. The patty press receives an appropriate food product therein and thereafter the hamburger press is received within the hollow central portion and presses onto the food product in order to form a patty out of the food product.

Abstract: An impression device for food items, which is a rolling device designed to create images upon a variety of foods for decoration and/or marketing purposes. As the device is hand-rolled along the food, the decorative letters and images create a repeated pattern of impressions upon the food. The roller device is particularly suitable for impressing narrow foods such as pizza crusts, certain pasta noodles, lattice pie tops, breadsticks, or the edges of melons. The device provides a firm, comfortable grip for all hand sizes that can be used with one or two hands.

Abstract: A clip, spacer and disk system, adapted for attachment to a cylindrical rolling pin, which has a central axle with a handle at each end, is disclosed. The guide disk members are provided in various diameters and can be exchanged on the rolling pin to provide different thicknesses of rolled out dough, without removing the handles of the rolling pin.

Abstract: A rolling pin has a hollow cylindrical metal roller rotatable relative to an elongated shaft assembly extending axially through the roller, the shaft assembly having two rods respectively rotatably journaled in bushing portions of end caps on the roller, the two rods having their inner ends fitted in recesses in a weighted coupler disposed within the roller, and having outer ends offset from the rotational axis and connected to handles, each of which handles has a rounded side and a flattened side. The weight causes the handles to be disposed in an at-rest position with most of each handle disposed above the rotational axis and with the flattened sides of the handles facing downwardly.

The finishing tool is removably attachable to the handle. The finishing tool is unitarily formed and somewhat elongated, and includes at one end thereof a plurality of tines suitable for puncturing a pastry crust, and at the other end thereof a protrusion suitable for crimping a pastry crust.

Abstract: A rolling pin apparatus utilizes a pair of free wheeling right angle cylinders disposed in parallel relationship for application to a food work stuff. A chamber is secured to the structure supporting the journals carrying the two cylinders, which chamber is covered by a removable access cover. An inertia operated pendulum-like scraper rides over a screen, both disposed within the chamber so as to break up and dispense a dusting material, usually flour, directing same towards the bottom of the chamber. An elongated valve is connected to the bottom of the chamber and positioned over the cylinders so as to control the amount of flour dispensed onto the outermost areas of each of the cylinders, directed there by two vanes positioned intermediate the chamber and the cylinders. A third vane also acts as an elongated scraper so as to remove extraneous material collected on the surfaces of the cylinders at locations intermediate opposed faces thereof.
