Abstract: A thread removal device preferably includes a thread cutter, a grasping implement and a finger base. The thread cutter preferably includes a blade projection and a safety projection extending from a cutter base. A cover cap may be placed over the thread cutter. The grasping implement includes a first grasping leg and a second grasping leg. A first contact pad is formed on one end of first grasping leg and a second contact pad is formed on one end of the second grasping leg. The first and second contact pads are biased away from each other. The other ends of the first and second grasping legs receive cutter base. The first grasping leg, the second grasping leg and the thread cutter may be attached to each other with any suitable assembly method. The finger base may be retained over grasping implement and the thread cutter.
Abstract: The invention is a tool for use by fisherpersons to remove a split shot weight from a fishing line. The tool includes a finger sheath, a finger retainer and curved blade attached to the finger sheath. In one preferred embodiment the finger sheath and finger retainer are a sewing thimble. The tool may also include a āUā shaped clip for crimping a split shot closed.

Abstract: A method for the computation of a system processing time in performing an operation in a system which can process a plurality of lots in a continuous or parallel manner, wherein the processing time of an object lot is computed based on the minimum processing time S0 for the object lot, the contents of the operation of a lot which is currently being processed, and the actual processing time of a lot, for which the operation has recently been completed.
Abstract: A ring blade for cutting or for defensive purposes comprises a ring with a top section and a movable crown member mounted in this top section. The ring is adapted for placement on a person's finger. The crown member has an elongate slot formed therein and a blade member is arranged in this slot. First and second pin members are provided to pivot the blade member from a retracted position where the blade is located in the slot to an extended position where the blade is exposed. The blade member is connected to the top section by one of the pin members and it is connected to the crown member by the other pin member. Movement of the crown member towards the top section causes the pin members to pivot the blade member to the extended position. Preferably the top section has a V-shaped cavity and the crown member is also V-shaped so as to fit inside this cavity.
