Abstract: A multipurpose electrician's tool is disclosed having a plurality of fabrication and installation features. The device comprises a plier tool having a first and second member connected at a pivot point, including a wiring stripping section, a shearing section, a cutting section, a gripping section, a wire bending section and a hammer head section. The wire stripping section allows insulated wire to be stripped to expose bare wire; the shearing section comprises an alignable set of apertures for tailoring a screw length by a shearing action of the two members; the cutting section comprises a pair of adjoinable cutting surfaces; the gripping section is positioned at the distal end of the plier members for compressing items therebetween; the wire bending section allows for wire ends to be formed for solderless connections; and finally the hammer head section comprises a pair of impact surfaces for driving nails or striking a target.

Abstract: A multipurpose tool is provided which may be useful for functions relating to firearms and explosives. The multipurpose tool may include a variety of tools and features while maintaining a compact form. For example, the multipurpose tool may include a blade positioned in a pocket defined between a handle and a body member which define a hook configuration. Elongate members may be rotatably connected to the multipurpose tool and may include a base member with a cam surface and one or more detents which cooperate with a spring follower to hold the elongate member in either or both of an operational position or a storage position. A receiving aperture may be received in a jaw of a pair of pliers, and configured to receive an accessory member. Further, a sleeve may store a bit on the side of a handle and may be retained in the sleeve by a displaceable button.

Abstract: A firefighter tool has multiple integrated construction features for accessing and fighting fires in diverse venues, particularly including homes and automobiles. The firefighter tool has pliers, battery cable cutters, a pry wedge, a gas meter flow shut-off wrench, a window breaker, a hammerhead icebreaker and a fire hose flange uncoupling hook. The diverse features are an integrated into a tool of practical construction which is readily commercially manufactured and effectively utilized in fighting fires.

Abstract: A staple pulling plier of the type consisting of a pair of pivoting members having handles and jaws forming a head portion. The head portion has opposite side faces, and the jaws in a closed position define a substantially continuous post engaging top ridge. Pincer points are provided on the jaws adjacent the top ridge and are moved to a closed staple grasping position on closure of the handles. A fulcrum member is formed integrally with the head portion and projects from one of the opposite side faces of the head portion, the fulcrum member defining an upper edge extending in a plane substantially normal to the post engaging top ridge of the jaws. When the bight of a staple is held by the pincer points, the two legs of the staple and the joining bight are in a plane normal to the post engaging top edge of the head portion. When the staple has been driven into a post to secure a horizontal strand of the fence, its plane is usually vertically disposed.

Abstract: A pair of pliers with multiple functions is disclosed. The pliers have a pair of shanks pivotally engaged with each other each having a jaw formed at one end thereof, a polygon hole defined in the other end to hold a tool head, a hammer formed on the outside of one of the jaws and a chisel formed on the other. In addition, teeth and a cutting edge are formed on the face of the corresponding jaws or shanks. Consequently, the pair of pliers can be used as a hammer, a chisel or a screwdriver. This can improve the flexibility of the pair of pliers.

Abstract: A tool assembly for repairing high heel shoes comprises a hammer handle having opposite first and second ends, a hammer head securely mounted to said first end of the hammer handle, and an end cap releasably attached to the second end of the hammer handle for storing replacement heel taps. The end cap may be detached from the hammer handle and placed underneath a high heel shoe for serving as a shoe stand for the purpose of driving a replacement tap into the heel. The tool assembly further comprises pliers releasably attached between the hammer handle and the end cap for disengaging heel taps.

The body members include handle portions, and define first and second opposed cutting sections positioned between the pivotal connection and the handle portions. The multi-purpose hand tool also includes a hammer section extending from the second body member perpendicular to the first body member, thereby defining a square. A pivotal joint pin pivotally connects the first and second handles together with said jaws generally facing each other so that the handles are movable between an open and closed position, and the hand tool is usable as pliers. Locking means lock the handles in the closed position, so that the hollow frame is usable as a hammer head. Also, in the locked position, the sliding jaw is operatively connected to the regulating screw so that rotation of the regulating screw moves the sliding jaw with respect to the fixed jaw, whereby the hand tool is usable as a monkey wrench in the closed position.

A relatively simple substitute for these tools includes a pair of arms for pivotal interconnection scissors-fashion, a first of the arms having a head including a hammer, one half of a shoe of nail gripping jaw and a slot for use when removing nails, and the second arm having a head defining the other half of the jaw and an arcuate surface for blocking a nail in a hoof. The other end of the second arm defines a toothed clincher for use in opposition to a toothed portion of this hammer for clinching nails extending from a hoof.

The first and second bodies are provided with a plurality of commonly used tools therefore it is a practical multi-purpose scissors.

Abstract: A multipurpose plier which comprises two component parts which are pivoted together and each of which has a handle portion, an intermediate portion and a web portion. The intermediate portions can abut against one another tightly, and curved jaw components, means for stripping wire and cutting means are formed on the intermediate portions. Each web portion is provided with a nosed and toothed portion, and a toothed horn. The nosed and toothed portions cooperate to act as a nosed plier, and the toothed horns function as an open wrench. One of the web portion is further provided with a hammer head and a nail pulling claw.
