Abstract: A tuning device consisting of a wax piece, a scraper, and a buffer in a portable unit for creating a waxed surface for skis and snowboards. The tuning device may also include a cord or strap for carrying the device and a cap fitting over the wax for keeping other surfaces from coming in direct contact with the wax while carrying and storing the device. The wax cap may also be used to form new wax on the tuning device. The tuning device allows for the application of wax to the base surface of all types of skis and snowboards. The wax is first applied to the base surface of the ski or snowboard, filling in scratches and gouges on the base surface. The excess wax is then scraped off using the scraper. The base surface of the ski or snowboard where the wax was applied is then polished using the buffer.

The slot includes champhered ends and is adapted to fit over the lever of a regulator for the oxygen tank to help release the regulator from the tank.

Abstract: A hand tool for press-welding and sealing overlapping edges of roofing membrane sheets by a roller mounted on one end of a handle. A rigid rod extends outwardly from an opposite end of the handle and has a curved section and a rounded corner which terminates in an angled linear section ending in a distal end. The distal end is used as a pick to test the integrity of the formed seam and the curved section is used for applying pressure to specific areas on the seam. The tool can perform both functions of applying pressure to the sheets by the roller and then testing the integrity of the formed seam without requiring excessive reorientation or movement of the tool in the hand of an installer.

Hardware installing wafers are designed to accept pieces of hardware in a particular class and size such as eyebolts, hooks, right-angle hooks, and other suspension hardware. Tool wafers are wafers with various tools attached to them for performing different operations such as prying, lifting, nailing, tacking, threading, scrapping, grasping, cutting, drilling, marking, hole punching, and so on. Attachment wafers attach various implements and devices to the core.

A hand grip enclosing the center of the shaft may be brightly colored and of high buoyancy to aid in retrieving a dropped device. One version of the device employs a wooden shaft and the attached multi-purpose tool is made of a bent metal rod, sharpened at both ends.

Abstract: A locking sheath and knife combination is provided that includes a spring biased member that partially extends out of the handle of the knife and interacts with a catch on the sheath for securing the knife to the sheath. When the user wants to extract the knife from the sheath, the spring biased member is squeezed as the handle is grabbed, which rotates the spring biased member to be substantially fully contained within the handle of the knife, and is secured there by the lock spring plate. When the knife is inserted back into the sheath, a protrusion on the sheath interacts with the lock spring plate to automatically allow the spring biased member to rotate out of the handle, thereby securing the knife to the sheath.
