Abstract: A lock mechanism includes a driving arm having an arm portion and a fixing portion and a lock rod having first and second ends and a pivot portion. The pivot portion is pivoted to one of a cover and a casing. The fixing portion is disposed on the one of the cover and the casing so as to make a free end of the arm portion interfere with an interference portion of the lock rod. The arm portion swings to a first position or a second position when receiving force. When the first end or the second end is pressed, the interference portion drives the free end to make the arm portion swing to the first or second position, so as to make the lock rod move to a locking position for fixing the cover on the casing or a releasing position for releasing the cover from the casing.

Abstract: Disclosed are internal lock mechanisms for doors of intermodal containers. The lock mechanisms include a lock member that moves between a locked position engaging a door to lock the door in the closed position and an unlocked position disengaged from the door to permit the door to move from the closed position to the open position. At least a portion of the lock mechanism is provided within or adjacent to the sill. In one instance, the lock member is biased toward the locked position, and a contact portion on a bottom of the container is contacted to unlock it. The lock mechanism may be accessed via connection openings in a corner fitting, for example. In another instance, hooks and hook receiving members are provided within an interior of the container, and rotated along a rotatable shaft between the two positions.

Abstract: An access identification assembly allows the owner of a piece of luggage or some other accessible structure to identify when someone has gained access to it. The assembly includes a housing which defines an interior space. The housing includes first and second openings. A locking member defines a fixed end, a movable end and an elongated body extending therebetween. The fixed end is fixedly secured to the housing and the movable end extends out and away from the housing. The movable end is selectively insertable into the housing to secure the access identification assembly. The access identification assembly also includes a releasing mechanism that is operatively connected to the housing for permanently unsecuring the access identification assembly. When either the releasing mechanism is broken or the locking member is severed, the user of the luggage knows that access has been obtained.

The latch apparatus can include an actuating device that operates to lock or unlock the latch apparatus in response to a control signal. The control signal can be communicated to the latch apparatus through an RF or other transmitted signal or through hardwires connecting the latch apparatus to the remote device. The latch apparatus can be maintained in either a locked state or an unlocked state without having to continuously supply power to the latch apparatus. The latch apparatus can include a latch hook that can be detent biased to both the open position and the closed position while the latch apparatus is in either a locked state or an unlocked state. The latch hook can move from the open position to the closed position while the latch apparatus is in a locked state. The latch apparatus can also have a thickness such that the latch apparatus will fit in the gap in which drawer slide hardware for an enclosure is installed.

Abstract: A door lock apparatus with safety switch capable of assuredly locking a door is provided. A coupling member is pivotally moved about a pivotal shaft by a closing operation by way of a rotary handle, thereby bringing an engaging portion thereof into engagement with a fixing member, so that a protective door is inhibited from moving in two directions of arrows X, Y including a moving direction of the protective door. Whether the protective door is of a slide type or a pivot type, the protective door is assuredly locked in a closed state because the protective door is inhibited from moving in the two directions including the moving direction thereof. Further, if an operation mistake or the like is made to forcibly open the protective door, the force for opening the protective door is not directly applied to the switch body or the actuator. Hence, a safety switch may achieve an increased in durability.

Abstract: A pneumatically operated barrier lock is provided. The barrier lock includes a body and a locking pin slidably mounted on the body for movement along a path between an extended position for engaging a catch and a retracted position for disengaging the catch. The lock also includes a pneumatic cylinder in connection with a pressure source and actuating the locking pin between the extended position and the retracted position. An opposite end of the cylinder is adapted for connection to a relatively low second pressure source. A second pressure source connectable to end of the pneumatic cylinder biases the piston away therefrom and generates a first biasing apparatus, in form of a pneumatic spring, which biases the locking pin toward the retracted position. A blocking member is hingedly connected, about a pivot axis, to the body and is selectively movable between a first position and a second position.
