  • Patent number: 11847559
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system for modifying data cleansing techniques for training and validating an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model. The method comprises normalizing and validating data of different formats, obtained from different sources. The ANN model is trained using the normalized and validated data. Alternatively, the ANN model could be trained using data of a common format obtained from a deterministic data model. The trained ANN model is used to generate ANN stochastic data. Data validation component from the deterministic data model is reused for the normalizing and the validating of the data, for validating the ANN stochastic data.

  • Patent number: 10977058
Abstract: An application server provides an application to client devices. Users of the client devices interact with the application to perform a business process. Data regarding user interactions with the application is transmitted from the client devices to the application server. Based on an analysis of the received data, a bot generation server generates a bot to automate a process step. The bot generation server provides a heatmap user interface (UI) that provides information regarding the process steps. Using the heatmap UI, the administrator selects a process step for automation. In response to the selection, the bot generation server identifies, based on the observed behavior, relationships between input fields, typical values for input fields, typical order of data entry into input fields, or any suitable combination thereof. Based on the identified patterns, the bot generation server generates a bot to automate some or all of the process step.

  • Patent number: 9581015
Abstract: Clustering analysis is used to partition data into similarity groups based on mathematical relationships between the measured variables. These relationships (or prototypes) are derived from the specific correlation required between the measured variables (data) and an environmental property of interest. The data points are partitioned into the prototype-driven groups (i.e., clusters) based on error minimization. Once the data is grouped, quantitative predictions and sensitivity analysis of the property of interest can be derived based on the computed prototypes. Additionally, the process inherently minimizes prediction errors due to the rigorous error minimization during data clustering while avoiding overfitting via algorithm parameterization. The application used to demonstrate the power of the method is pressure gradient analysis.

Abstract: Anticipatory logistics is used to predict observable events and respond to the predictions of the observable events in the control of automated equipment that perform highly repetitive functions such as elevator cars. A set of table entries is obtained, and the table entries are metricized and stored as cell entries. All cell entries are normalized. Ten weighted values to the cell entries are initialized. An algorithmically defined subset of weighted values is normalized and an instruction is selected based on the computed dependency using an algorithm incorporating uniform chance selection for exploratory optimization, such as the Mersenne Twister algorithm. Here, the search space is delimited by careful selection of the salient variables as well as by the algorithm itself, which only relies on chance to find truly novel solutions as time (and space) permit.

  • Patent number: 7828655
Abstract: A computer game depicts or represents actual or imaginary geographic locales as part of the play scenarios of the games. The computer game uses a map database that contains data that represent geographic features, such as roads, in a locale. A game engine program presents a game play scenario to a user via a user interface of the game. An application programming interface program accepts requests for data from the game engine program, accesses data from the map database, and provides the data in a suitable format to the game engine program for use in presenting the game scenario to the user.

  • Patent number: 7809668
Abstract: An instability avoidance module that can be implemented in SISO PID control loops to automatically adjust the controller's tuning parameters when undesired oscillatory behavior is monitored. This module is a Fuzzy-based Supervisor composed of a dynamic parameter identification module that operates on-line, and a Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) with fuzzy rules to modify PID tuning. Tests in nonlinear process models were performed, demonstrating that this Fuzzy Supervisor—Type 1 (non-intrusive) provides the PID controller the ability to adapt its tuning to eliminate the observed oscillatory behavior.

  • Patent number: 7805396
Abstract: Normal and abnormal diurnal cortisol secretion patterns are identified from human saliva samples by an in vitro method. First and second saliva samples are taken from one human individual at first and second predetermined times during the same day. A first cortisol concentration is determined in the first saliva sample, and a second cortisol concentration is determined in the second saliva sample. An abnormal secretion pattern is then compared to a normal secretion pattern with the help of a fuzzy logic algorithm. A function of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis is then determined for the human individual. Optionally, a testosterone level is determined from one of the samples and is used in combination with the cortisol concentrations to provide a redefined determination.

  • Patent number: 7797268
Abstract: Disclosed is a controller that includes a curve matching mechanism. The curve matching mechanism employs Fuzzy Logic to compare input curves to standard curves and to thereby characterize the input curves. Also disclosed in an automotive environment for the curve matching mechanism in which a Fuzzy Controller is used to receive time series data (i.e., input curves) and to present the input curves to the curve matching mechanism. The controller then uses the output of the curve matching mechanism to adjust engine function.

  • Patent number: 7785218
Abstract: A process for the custom design and automated, custom manufacture of golf clubs. According to a first embodiment, a computer user interface, preferably a graphical user interface (GUI), guides a user's selection of preferred golf club design parameters. According to a second embodiment, input data about a golfer's style of play and golf club performance needs are captured from data collection systems, and analyzed by black box algorithms, preferably fuzzy logic algorithms, to infer golf club design parameters. After preferences for, or inferences about, golf club design parameters are developed in accordance with the two embodiments, a computer aided (CA) system is used to design and manufacture the desired golf clubs.

  • Patent number: 7747545
Abstract: A lead response system is provided comprising a customizable lead delivery rules engine and a customizable escalation rules engine for delivering leads to appropriate responders and re-routing undeveloped leads to different responders. Each delivery rule includes two or more criteria which may be met in order for the lead to be delivered to the responder specified in the particular rule. A lead that is not accepted by the responder to whom it was delivered within a user-defined time frame is re-routed for delivery to a new responder according to a set of escalation rules. The escalation rules may include delivery instructions specifying the new responder or may re-route the lead to the delivery rules engine for delivery to a new responder according to a re-application of the delivery rules.

  • Patent number: 7711660
Abstract: In a system and method for processing data, a user interface enables a user to enter mapping data to enable incoming data to be converted to a common data format. A database stores the mapping data and data quality rules, and a receiver receives data from a data source. The processor applies the data quality rules to the common format data to identify any potential errors in the common format data and notifies the user of any potential errors found in the common format data. The data rules may include data structure rules and/or data trending requirements based upon data trends or norms. The data source may be an employer, insurance company or other entity. The data may include insurance claim data, medical data and/or prescription data and/or eligibility and/or occupational and non-occupational data.

  • Patent number: 7693823
Abstract: Techniques for analyzing and modeling the frequency of queries are provided by a query analysis system. A query analysis system analyzes frequencies of a query over time to determine whether the query is time-dependent or time-independent. The query analysis system forecasts the frequency of time-dependent queries based on their periodicities. The query analysis system forecasts the frequency of time-independent queries based on causal relationships with other queries. To forecast the frequency of time-independent queries, the query analysis system analyzes the frequency of a query over time to identify significant increases in the frequency, which are referred to as “query events” or “events.” The query analysis system forecasts frequencies of time-independent queries based on queries with events that tend to causally precede events of the query to be forecasted.
