Patent number: 11458233Abstract: A method of detecting intravascular volume depletion in a patient during a hemodialysis session includes measuring venous drip pressure for the patient. With a computer-driven analyzer, the method further includes analyzing the venous drip pressure and automatically and continuously determining a venous access pressure in proximity to a location of needle insertion into a vascular access site of the patient, wherein changes in venous access pressure are representative of changes in intravascular blood pressure. Using the analyzer, the method further includes comparing the venous access pressure to a standard and, if the venous access pressure is outside of a defined range of the standard, determining with the analyzer that the patient is experiencing intravascular volume depletion during the hemodialysis session.Type: GrantFiled: June 13, 2017Date of Patent: October 4, 2022Assignee: Henry Ford Health SystemInventors: Gerard Zasuwa, Stanley Frinak, Jerry Yee, Anatole Besarab, John B. Patent number: 11187606Abstract: The disclosed technology is a pressure transducer with a bleed valve built into the body of the transducer for purging liquid systems. The transducer assembly includes a body, a bleed valve port defined in the body and configured to accept a bleed valve, an interface port attached to the body, an adapter attached to a portion of the interface port, a header attached to the adapter and the body, a pressure transducer mounted to the header, and an internal cavity in communication with the interface port, the pressure transducer, and the bleed valve port. The bleed valve port is configured to vent a gas from the internal cavity. A bleed valve disposed in the bleed valve port is configured to controllably vent a gas from the internal cavity.Type: GrantFiled: November 8, 2018Date of Patent: November 30, 2021Assignee: Kulite Semiconductor Products, Inc.Inventors: Louis DeRosa, Elias Geras, Robert Gardner

Patent number: 9289544Abstract: A device is arranged to detect a configuration of withdrawal and return devices (1, 14, 111, 112, 211, 212, 702, 703, 802, 803) coupling an extracorporeal blood flow circuit (20) to a cardiovascular system of a subject. The device comprises a signal processor (29), which is configured to receive a primary measurement signal obtained by a primary pressure sensor (4a, 4b, 4c) in the extracorporeal blood flow circuit (20). The device is further configured to process the primary measurement signal for extraction of primary pressure data originating from a subject pulse generator (3?) in the cardiovascular system or extracorporeal blood flow circuit (20), the primary pressure data comprising at least a part of a first pulse from the subject pulse generator (3?). The device is also configured to calculate a parameter value from the primary pressure data and to determine the configuration based at least partly on the parameter value.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 2010Date of Patent: March 22, 2016Assignee: Gambro Lundia ABInventors: Bo Olde, Kristian Solem

Patent number: 9101316Abstract: A portable detector for use with an imaging system is disclosed. The portable detector automatically sets one or more operational states based on at least a determination as to whether the portable detector is connected to external power. An imaging system is also disclosed that ascertains whether the portable detector is connected via a tether. The imaging system may perform a compatibility check when connected to the portable detector to assess compatibility between the imaging system and the portable detector.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 2011Date of Patent: August 11, 2015Assignee: GENERAL ELECTRIC COMPANYInventors: James Zhengshe Liu, Kenneth Scott Kump, Gireesha C. Patent number: 7130804Abstract: Disclosed is a system for supporting sales and maintenance activities of steam traps by a seller of the traps to a customer. The system utilizes an aggregating system which effects a step of inputting stored diagnostic result data and model confirmation result data from a diagnostic device which has diagnosed a working condition of each of a plurality of existing steam traps installed in a customer's plant. Based on the diagnostic result data, a first total steam loss amount due to malfunction of steam traps is calculated, the first total steam loss amount comprising aggregation of steam leak amounts of all the existing steam traps. Based on the model confirmation result data, a second total steam loss amount is calculated, which comprises aggregation of differences between inherent steam leak amounts of the existing steam traps under their normal working conditions and inherent steam leak amounts of recommended steam traps under their normal working conditions.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 2001Date of Patent: October 31, 2006Assignee: TLV Co., Ltd.Inventor: Yoshiyasu Fujiwara
