Publication number: 20130283959Abstract: A brake handle assembly for an aircraft emergency/parking brake includes a handle movable between a non-actuated position wherein the brake is disengaged and a full actuated position wherein, during movement therebetween, the brake applies a modulated braking force in an emergency brake state. A button actuator is disposed on the handle. Movement of the handle from the intermediate stop position to the full actuated position is obstructed to prevent inadvertent operation of the brake in the parking brake state unless the button actuator is depressed.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 14, 2011Publication date: October 31, 2013Applicant: HONDA PATENTS & TECHNOLOGIES NORTH AMERICA, LLCInventors: Hiroki Oyama, Katsutoshi Tada, Charles T. Publication number: 20120234126Abstract: A structure with six degrees of freedom for a robot or haptic interface including a base, two branches in parallel, and a wrist joint. The branches are installed articulated between the base and the wrist joint, the branches including a shoulder, an arm, and a forearm supporting the wrist joint. The wrist joint includes a connecting segment onto which a handle holder is articulated about a first rotation axis. A handle is articulated in rotation on the handle holder about a second rotation axis, the handle capable of being moved in rotation about the first axis, the second axis, and a third axis, and a mechanism gears down the rotation of the handle holder about at least the first rotation axis relative to rotation of the connecting segment.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 1, 2010Publication date: September 20, 2012Applicant: Commissariat a L'energie atomique et aux energies alternativesInventors: Florian Gosselin, Fabien Ferlay

Patent number: 8096921Abstract: An integrated parking brake and clutch control system for a vehicle is provided that includes a clutch perch configured for mounting on a handlebar assembly of a vehicle. A clutch lever is pivotably coupled to the clutch perch and is pivotable between rest and clutch-applied positions, and between the rest position and a parking-brake-applied position. A brake lever is pivotably coupled to the clutch perch and is pivotable between rest and depressed positions. A lock pin is supported by and moveable with the brake lever. The clutch lever defines a pin-receiving aperture and is configured to receive respective ends of a clutch cable and a parking brake cable. The lock pin is selectively insertable into the pin-receiving aperture when the clutch lever is in the parking-brake-applied position, which prevents the clutch lever from pivoting to either the rest position or the clutch-applied position.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 2009Date of Patent: January 17, 2012Assignee: Honda Motor Company, Ltd.Inventor: Timothy Adam Hahn

Publication number: 20100095801Abstract: The presented system is a full-mechanical system composed of 60 metal parts all of which parts are made of steel and iron metals. This system is placed in the deck of vehicles and over the car mat and connected to clutch and gas pedals such that it connects gas and clutch pedals through levers. This system is fixed in its place through two levers called “fulcrum shafts” such that head of these two levers are placed in a due place avoiding any slide helping to install the system tightly in its due place.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 21, 2009Publication date: April 22, 2010Inventor: Mehdi Zaerin

Publication number: 20090211391Abstract: A balanced force control cable assembly comprising a first lever rotatably mounted in a first housing and a second lever rotatably mounted in a second housing. A control knob for selecting a temperature is attached to the first lever. A cable extends from the first lever to the second lever for rotating the second lever in response to the rotation of the control knob. A first spring engages the first housing and the first lever for applying a first pre-determined force to continually bias the first lever to rotate in a first direction. A second spring engages the second housing and the second lever for applying a second predetermined force in a second direction being opposite to the first direction to counterbalance the first spring and to maintain tension in the cable.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 25, 2008Publication date: August 27, 2009Inventor: Mark W. Stevenson

Publication number: 20090201688Abstract: The invention provides a light-emitting apparatus, which can be disposed on a manpower vehicle, including a light-emitting unit and a power-generating module. The power-generating module further includes a first magnetic conductor, a second magnetic conductor, and a coil. The first magnetic conductor is disposed on a first component of the manpower vehicle; the second magnetic conductor is disposed on a second component of the manpower vehicle, and the coil is coupled to the first magnetic conductor or the second magnetic conductor. Moreover, the first magnetic conductor or the second magnetic conductor includes a magnetic member. Particularly, the first component can apply a pre-set point as an axle to rotate, so that when a distance between the first magnetic conductor and the second magnetic conductor is changed, the coil is capable of generating an induced electromotive force for supporting the light-emitting unit with needed power.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 7, 2008Publication date: August 13, 2009Inventor: Juinne-Ching LIAO

Patent number: 6575050Abstract: A control device for a backhoe that moves four separate reversible hydraulic valves in any combination or all at the same time with only one human hand needed to manipulate said controls. These valves are controlled through an organized series of arms, levers, and push rods. Lever one 1 can pivot forward or backward, move up or down, push forward or pull backward, and move to the left or right. Lever two 2 pivots up or down at lever four 4, therefore lever one 1 moves with lever two 2 as a unit. Lever four 4 spins around lever three 3 with lever two 2 and lever one 1 as a unit. Lever three 3 pivots forward and backward taking lever four 4, lever two 2, and lever one 1 with it as a unit. Lever one 1 pivots forward or backward to actuate valve 20 through a number of pins, rods, and arms. As lever one 1 is moved up or down, it pivots lever two 2 causing valve 22 to be actuated, leaving valve 20 uninterrupted.Type: GrantFiled: November 7, 2000Date of Patent: June 10, 2003Inventor: Geoffrey B. Patent number: 6354169Abstract: In a vehicle air conditioner, inside air and outside air are switched by first and second inside/outside air switching doors. The first inside/outside air switching door is operated by a first door lever operatively linked with an inside/outside air operation member of an operation panel. On the other hand, the second inside/outside air switching door is operated by a second door lever which is operated by a mode operation lever operatively linked with a mode operation member of the operation panel, a temperature-adjustment operation lever operatively linked with a temperature-adjustment operation member of the operation panel, and an elastic force of a spring. When an air outlet mode except for a defroster mode is manually set by the mode operation member, and when maximum heating is manually set by the temperature-adjustment operation member, the second inside/outside air switching door is operated to an inside air introduction state by the second door lever.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2000Date of Patent: March 12, 2002Assignee: Denso CorporationInventors: Takashi Toyoshima, Kazushi Shikata, Kazutoshi Kuwayama
