Abstract: The invention relates to a hand tool comprising handles and jaws, where the jaws are operated by the handles, and where an anti-slip device is arranged on the outer side of the distal end of a tool handle. The tool handle has a hard surface with low friction enabling the users fingers to slide on the surface of the handle when squeezing the handles together, and the anti-slip device is arranged to be supported against a support surface in order for the user to be able to press the tool handles together in a controlled manner using a force (F) in excess of hand force.

Abstract: A hand tool articulating apparatus has a pair of elongate members coupled for articulation about a pivot axis. Each elongate member has a clamping jaw on one side of the pivot axis and an arm extending to a handle on the other side of the pivot axis. One of the arms extends from the pivot axis along a first axis over a first distance to a first loop extending outwardly from the first axis and away from the other of the arms. The other of the arms has a first portion and a second portion. The first portion extends along a second axis from the pivot axis a shorter distance than the one arm. The second portion extends inclined to the second axis along a third axis away from the one arm to a second loop. The second loop extends outwardly from the third axis away from the pivot axis.

  • Patent number: 7677142
Abstract: A hand-held tool includes first and second metallic parts pivotally interconnected to one another. A first cushioned hollow sleeve is adapted to receive the first handle and a second cushioned hollow sleeve is adapted to receive the second handle. The first sleeve is relatively straight and elongate and the second sleeve is arcuate and truncate in extent. A user holds the tool with the arcuate sleeve abutting the palm while grasping the straight sleeve with the fingers until the concentrated stress caused by the arcuate shape begins to produce fatigue. The tool is then rotated so that the arcuate sleeve is grasped by the fingers and the straight sleeve abuts the palm. The straight sleeve distributes the stress over a wider, less concentrated area. Continued rotation of the tool enables a user to employ it without fatigue for a prolonged period of time.

It has a jaw head consisting of a first jaw, a second jaw, a first handle and a second handle that are hinged on the same axle and turnable thereon. By adopting one axle, the compact structure can be realized. The first handle has lateral sides and a rear end to hold other tools such as knives, scissors, screwdrivers, a can opener and the like.

Abstract: An assembly/disassembly pliers including two pivoted pliers bodies is used to assemble or disassemble a heat sink on or from a chip. The heat sink is disposed in a fixing member, and two hooks of the fixing member are buckled with the chip. An actuating handle and an operating board are respectively disposed on each pliers body, and a bump is extended from at least one operating board. The two actuating handles are actuated to drive the two operating boards to open towards opposite directions, such that the bumps push the fixing member and release the hooks, such that the fixing member and the heat sink are installed on or separated from the chip.

Abstract: The present invention is a pair of locking pliers having an opposing handle extending from the upper jaw or lower jaw of the locking pliers, generally parallel to, and roughly the same length and shape as, the first handle. A user can simultaneously place one hand on the first handle and the other hand on the opposing handle so that there is one handle on each side of the workpiece, allowing the user to apply more rotational force to the workpiece. The invention allows the user to apply pressure and torque more evenly to keep unstable work objects from moving, when not securely fixed. When space around the workpiece compromises the user's reach, the opposing handle provides and additional opportunity to rotate the workpiece. A second embodiment of the invention provides an optional, detachable handle extension securely attached to the upper jaw and/or an optional and detachable handle extension that can be securely attached to first handle of the locking pliers.
