    Abstract: A bomb rack lock, as part of a bomb rack, comprising a plunger movable to engage a bomb rack linkage to be alternately secured and released and a solenoid body coupled to and operable to support the plunger. The plunger and the solenoid body are movable relative to each other and the bomb rack linkage and the solenoid body is movable between a first position and a second position. The bomb rack lock also includes a sensor to determine whether the solenoid body is in the first position. The plunger is movable to engage and disengage the bomb rack linkage with the solenoid body in the first position. In the second position, the solenoid body prevents engagement between the plunger and the bomb rack linkage.

    Abstract: A method for launching counter-measures from a launch opening of a dispenser mounted on an aeroplane. The counter-measures are launched in a direction obliquely forwards and downwards relative to the aeroplane. In order to facilitate launching of counter-measures, a low dynamic pressure is created permanently across the launch opening of the dispenser by a fixed element acting on the air stream. An arrangement for storing and launching counter-measures including an elongate body provided with at least one launch opening used for storing the counter-measures in compartments. The arrangement is designed to be mounted on an aeroplane with the longitudinal direction of the elongate body essentially coinciding with the flight direction of the aeroplane. The counter-measures are connected to a firing control unit for feeding firing signals to the counter-measures. The arrangement is designed to be mounted under the aeroplane.

    Abstract: Lanyard connectors for release of an ordinance are provided. The lanyard connectors include a coupling sleeve and locking ring movable between a first position and a second position. The lanyard connectors also include a latching spring and a reset spring. The latching spring is partially disposed within a groove in the locking ring in the first position, and removed from the groove in the second position. The reset spring is held in place by a connector cover and interfaces with a second groove in the locking ring. The reset spring is compressed in the second position. The lanyard connectors allow for release of an ordinance receptacle when in the second position. Methods of using the connectors are also provided.

Mounted within the container is an expulsion system for expelling objects from the container through its doorway and the aircraft's hatch. The container may be coupled and sealed to other containers to define a contiguous volume for storing the objects and allowing movement of the objects between containers.

A flexible gasket is interposed between the first element and the object surface. The second element comprises a forward end directed toward the oncoming airstream and a rearward end, with the second element being mounted to the first element at the rearward end of the second element.

    Abstract: A specially designed support structure is used to mount a pair of conventional elongated bomb racks, each adapted to releasably support either a missile or a torpedo, on the underside of a helicopter on opposite sides of its longitudinal centerline, with the lengths of the bomb racks extending parallel to the centerline. The support structure includes a pair of reinforcing plates secured to vertical sides of longitudinally extending keel beams on opposite sides of the centerline. Each plate has front and rear bottom mounting lugs that extend downwardly through corresponding openings in the helicopter underside. The front and rear mounting lug pairs are respectively connected to opposite ends of front and rear cross beam members, which longitudinally extend transversely to the centerline, by adapter structures that also support opposite end portions of the bomb racks.
