Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of Oenothera drummondii identified as TX-12-5 characterized by 1) a propensity for free flowering (numerous flowers over an extended time and range of photoperiods), 2) a low spreading growth habit (typically less than 30 cm tall) with a dense canopy of foliage, 3) a grey-green shade of foliage compared to the green of most of the species, and 4) consistently bright yellow flowers.
Abstract: A new Oenothera hybrida plant is provided that continuously forms in abundance attractive large pure deep yellow blossoms from spring to autumn. The plant exhibits an annual behavior in the absence of substantial winter hardiness. Good tolerance to heat is displayed in the presence of adequate water. Also, generally good tolerance to disease and pests is displayed. The plant is particularly well suited for providing attractive ornamentation when grown in patio pots, hanging baskets, balcony boxes, mass plantings, etc.
Abstract: A new cultivar of Oenothera plant named ‘SHIMMER’, a hardy deciduous herbaceous perennial, distinguishable by low-spreading habit, narrow silver, ribbon-like foliage, and bright butter-yellow flowers. In combination these traits set ‘SHIMMER’ apart from all other existing varieties of Oenothera known to the inventor.
