Abstract: A rotation detecting device for vehicle speedometers includes a housing, a magnetic induction device, and a magnetized rotor near the magnetic induction device. The rotor is connected through a coupling to a rotation source. A braking device forms a magnetic circuit between one end surface of the rotor and the housing, and brings the rotor into pressure contact with the housing by a magnetic attraction force generated in the magnetic circuit. Accordingly, a stable and proper braking torque can be applied against rotor vibration, to prevent a false output signal while idling. Furthermore, the amount of wear of a bearing for rotatably supporting a rotating shaft of the rotor can be reduced to improve durability of the rotation detecting device by reducing the braking torque during high-speed rotation of the rotor.

Abstract: A process for producing a powder of perovskite-type double oxide comprises the steps of reacting water-soluble lead oxide and aqueous solution of alkaline metal in a reaction vessel, and precipitating lead group hydroxide; then adding a solution of Nb group, precipitating Nb group hydroxide, and reacting hydrothermally in the reaction vessel. As a result, according to the present invention, the process of manufacture is capable of producing fine particles of pure perovskite phase, which particles are excellent in homogeneity and the degree of sintering.
Abstract: A support for manufacturing and storage of cheese, including a mesh which is weared and stretched, and then secured on a peripheral, rigid reinforcement. The mesh has weft threads and warp threads which are interlaced, forming crossing zones. A coating of anti-corrosion synthetic material is provided, which coats threads of the mesh and the peripheral reinforcement, thereby forming an organic matrix connecting the weft threads and the warp threads of the mesh. The coating also provides a sealed surface along the threads of the mesh, along the peripheral reinforcement, in the crossing zones of the threads of the mesh, and in a connecting zone of the threads of the mesh to the peripheral reinforcement.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method and apparatus for measuring the coordinates of a survey point. The apparatus uses a reflecting mirror at the survey point, a tachymeter for transmitting light to the reflecting mirror and for receiving light reflected from the reflecting mirror, first calculating means for calculating the coordinate values of two positions of the reflecting mirror, and second calculating means for calculating a coordinate value of the survey point from the coordinate values of the two reflecting mirror positions. In operation, the tachymeter transmits light to the reflecting mirror at the survey point wherein the reflecting mirror is locatable at two points present on a line passing through the survey point and which are separated from the survey point by predetermined distances.
Abstract: A temperature control apparatus for a machine tool includes four temperature sensors for detecting a reference temperature, outlet temperature of heat transfer fluid at an outlet of a heat exchanger, and temperatures of the heat transfer fluid at both inlet and an outlet of a machine tool element having a heat generating source. The four temperature sensors are arranged to constitute a differential temperature detecting means that activates control means to control temperature of the heat transfer fluid from the heat exchanger so as to minimize both deviations of heat transfer fluid temperature and steady-state deviations of machine tool body temperature.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an air-entraining adjuvant.This adjuvant comprises animal whole blood and/or cruor serving as the actual air-entraining agent, and also comprises blood plasma as a stabilizer for the entrained air, preferably in pulverulent or atomized form. The proportion of blood plasma in the adjuvant is advantageously from 15 to 25% by weight. The said adjuvant also contains dispersants of the bentonite type and/or aluminomagnesium clay type.This gives an adjuvant having an exceptional air-entraining capacity with a high stability; it is easy to work with as any type of mixer can be used.
Abstract: Disclosed is an organic nonlinear optical material comprising a compound having a conjugate main chain in the molecule and having donor groups D and acceptor groups A added onto the conjugate main chain in the sequence of . . . , D, D, A, A, D, D, . . . , in which the distance between adjacent D's and the distance between adjacent A's are shorter than the distance between adjacent D and A with respect to the distance between the atoms on the main chain to which the respective groups are bonded.In this organic nonlinear optical material, since electron wave functions are modified, enhanced quadratic and cubic nonlinear optical effects can be attained. Accordingly, the organic nonlinear optical material can be advantageously utilized for an electro-optical element and an optical-to-optical element.
Abstract: The present invention is an internal combustion engine having a rotary sleeve valve mechanism with a sleeve valve which has an opening formed in the outer peripheral surface for suction of fuel and discharge of exhaust gas. The present invention achieves an improvement in the admission and exhaust efficiency and simplification of the valve mechanism by employing a rotating sleeve valve. The rotary sleeve-valve internal combustion engine has a cylindrical rotary cylinder valve (3) which is rotatably supported in an engine block (1). An opening (5) which is provided in the outer peripheral wall surface of the rotary cylinder valve (3) provides communication with an inlet port (10) during admission and with an exhaust port (15) during exhaust. A seal ring (40) is provided around the periphery of the opening (5) to effect gas seal for the area between the engine block (1) and the inner peripheral wall surface (7).
Abstract: Disclosed in an optical switching connector provided with a first and second ferrule disposed with end faces thereof abutting on each other and two reference pins disposed in parallel at a predetermined interval. The first and second ferrules have two parallel pin holes, respectively. The two reference pins are inserted in the pin holes. The pin holes have an elongated sectional shape enabling the reference pins to move laterally by exactly a certain movement pitch. Abstract: A metal-free lubricant composition for use in threaded tube and pipe connections includes graphite and a substantially nonabrasive, friction increasing adjusting component, both dispersed in a lubricant base material in which a polyalkylene is dissolved, with the graphite being present in an amount effect to decrease a coefficient of friction of said composition, the friction increasing adjusting component being present in an amount effective to increase the coefficient of friction of the composition, and the polyalkylene being present in an amount effective to enhance formation of graphite flakes from graphite particles upon application of pressure. The lubricant composition can provide corrosion resistance as well as similar or superior lubricating properties in comparison to conventional metal-containing grease compositions.

Abstract: A cyclone comprising a swirl cylinder, an inner tube disposed in the upper section of the swirl cylinder, an inlet duct arranged tangentially to the outer periphery of the swirl cylinder, a drop opening formed in the lower section of the swirl cylinder, and a straightening instrument disposed in a space directly below the inner tube. The straightening instrument includes a conical member coaxial with the inner tube and guide plates arranged along a conical surface at the outer periphery of the conical member. A lower section of each of the guide plates is curved to encounter the turn tangential velocity components of a circumferential spiral stream smoothly into axial velocities alone, and unnecessary vortices which are not required for separation of particles and which cause energy loss are eliminated.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a pouring plug used for paper containers filled with juice, milk and the like. The present invention further relates to a pouring plug having a flange portion corresponding to a peripheral surface portion of a fitting hole of a container body and being mounted from inside of the container body, in which a plurality of projecting portions are provided, at a height position larger than a thickness dimension of a structural member of the container body form the flange portion, and on the peripheral surface portion corresponding to the inner peripheral edge of the fitting hole. When the pouring plug is inserted and arranged in the fitting hole, the projecting portions are completely withdrawn on the surface side of the container body so that the plug is positively temporarily fixed, and ultrasonic deposition can be carried out without any trouble.
