Abstract: A liquid painting instrument according to the present invention includes a neck portion of a cross-sectionally noncircular configuration provided on a wall having a passage hole that allows the neck member of the inner shaft to pass therethrough at a certain position in a circumferential phase while preventing the neck member from passing therethrough at other positions in the circumferential phase. The control wall is located at a position in front of the neck portion in the unknocked state. Projections are also provided on the front face of the neck member; each has a cam face that slides on the rear face of the control wall so as to displace the inner shaft rearward with respect to the fixed position where the valve is closed when the inner shaft is rotated preventing the neck member from passing through the passage hole.
Abstract: A rotary support device comprising an under ring including a horizontal portion and a peripheral wall, the wall projecting upward from the inner periphery of the horizontal portion and being inclined either outward or inward, the wall being formed with a guide groove in a peripheral surface thereof, and an upper ring including a horizontal portion and a peripheral wall, the upper ring wall projecting downward from the inner periphery of the horizontal portion and being inclined along the inclined under ring wall, the upper ring wall being formed with a guide groove in a peripheral surface thereof. The two rings are fitted to each other with a row of balls rollably fitted in their respective guide grooves. The grooved wall portion of each ring has a side edge partially covering the balls from above or below in engagement therewith. The two rings are engaged with each other inseparably and rotatably by the balls.
Abstract: An .alpha.-methylstyrene high-content copolymer which is characterized by that it is a copolymer which comprises 65-90 parts by weight of .alpha.-methylstyrene with 35-10 parts by weight of acrylonitrile and 0-5 parts by weight of a copolymerizable vinyl monomer or monomers and that a component having an .alpha.-methylstyrene content of 82% or higher is contained in an amount of 30 parts by weight or more. Such a copolymer may be produced by a process which comprises charging 65 parts by weight or more of .alpha.-methylstyrene and 10% by weight or less based on this .alpha.-methylstyrene of acrylonitrile and a vinyl monomer or monomers all in one portion at the initial stage, making the system fully emulsified, gradually adding 35 parts by weight or less of acrylonitrile and the vinyl monomer or monomers, and carrying out emulsion polymerization until the amount of a polymer produced has amounted to 50 parts by weight or more in such way that the ratio of the .alpha.
Abstract: A thermal reactor for processing semiconductor wafers includes a ring-like reactor body having a cylindrical outer surface and having a central depressed portion to define an inner circular space at the cross section of the reactor body along a longitudinal direction of the reactor body. A wafer holder for mounting the wafers vertically is positioned within the inner circular space and is rotated when a reaction gas is passed from an open bottom end of the reactor body toward a top end of the reactor body. The reaction gas is exhausted through a conduit placed along the outer surface of the reactor body. A plurality of plasma generating electrodes are positioned around the outer surface and within the central depressed portion of the reactor body in order to clean an inner side wall of the reactor body.
Abstract: A driving wheel slip control system for a vehicle detects an excessive slip state of at least one of the driving wheels of the vehicle and reduces engine output when the excessive slip state is detected, by repeating alternate fuel cut and fuel supply such that fuel supply is stopped for a first predetermined time period, and a second predetermined time period. During the second predetermined time period the engine is supplied with an amount of fuel smaller than one required for an operating condition of the engine in the excessive slip state. If the excessive slip state has a greater variation in magnitude than a certain value, fuel supply is continuously effected for a third predetermined time period longer than the first predetermined time period or all the time during the excessive slip state.

An inner surface of the layer (24) is machined to enhance the concentricity of the inner surface after aluminum front and rear housings (10, 14) are assembled to a stator (16). An end face (46) of the layer (24) is in tight contact with an end-hold portion (44) integrated with the front housing (10) to form a hold structure for a bearing in such a manner that a burr is not generated at an edge (B) of the end face of the layer (24) when machined.
Abstract: An apparatus for use in a motorcar body assembling line for setting car body components including a floor panel, a roof panel, and side panels on a set carrier in a predetermined positional relationship in a setting station at a starting end of the assembling line. The roof panel setting device is disposed in a laterally central portion at an upper part of the setting station and is comprised of a front unit and a rear unit, each having a pair of holding frames which are longitudinally and vertically movable with respect to each other. The apparatus further comprises a dashboard setting device disposed in a longitudinally parallel relationship to the roof panel setting device. Both the roof panel and dashboard setting devices are structurally and operationally similar.

Abstract: The modified polyolefin is produced by graft-polymerizing (a) 100 parts by weight of a polyolefin, with (b) 0.01-30 parts by weight of a glycidyl compound represented by the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein R is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1-6 carbon atoms, Ar is an aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6-20 carbon atoms and containing at least one glycidyloxy group, and n is an integer of 1-4. The glycidyl compound may be added stepwise to have a higher graft ratio. The modified polyolefin may be graft-copolymerized with polyesters at a high graft ratio.
Abstract: In a double-tube type boring and kneading machine comprising a double tubular shaft assembly composed of both an outer tubular shaft and an inner shaft separately rotatable to each other, said outer tubular shaft is adapted to be rotated at a high speed and provided at its external surface with a stirring and kneading means, and said inner shaft is adapted to be rotated with a large torque and provided with a boring bit at its leading end, a lower stirring and kneading means and a liquid discharge port. A method for improving a foundation ground by employing a double-tube type boring and kneading machine is also disclosed herein.
Abstract: A corrugator for ribbing pipes includes two synchronously circulating chains of mold halves, a guide device for the mold halves having an input zone in which the associated mold halves are brought into engagement with each other, a molding zone in which a central channel is provided for guiding the engaged mold jaws and an output zone in which the mold halves are again separated from each other, as well as return guides for the mold halves on the path between the output and input zones and cooling apparatus for cooling at least the central channel with a coolant. A plurality of hollow profile modules is provided for forming the molding zone, each module being provided with a central cavity for the cooling apparatus and two lateral guide portions. Modules are arranged in pairs joining each other transversely of the production direction of the corrugator, and a plurality of module pairs are arranged adjoining each other in series in the production direction of the corrugator.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a pencil sharpener that incorporates a conductive sharpening blade element for sharpening the pencil wherein the blade element is positioned along an inner wall surface of a bore hole so as to contact an outer surface of the pencil. A conductive leaf spring opposingly positioned with the blade element contacts a nib of a pencil when the pencil is sharpened by the blade element, whereby the leaf spring forms an electrical contact with the blade element through the nib of the pencil. An integrated circuit sound device for producing an audible signal is operatively connected with the blade element and leaf spring so as to generate warning signals through an indicating lamp and a buzzer.
Abstract: A five degree-of-freedom positioning device includes a manipulator shaft for manipulating an object to a desired position and orientation. Two sets of stator permanent magnets are spaced along an axis of the manipulator and arranged in parallel planes transverse to the manipulator axis so as to provide therebetween magnetic fields substantially extending along the axis. Interposed between the sets of permanent magnets are axially spaced sets of electrically energizable coils also arranged in parallel transverse planes. The coils are energized to produce coil fields that interact with the magnetic fields of the permanent magnets for generating the Lorentz force which acts on the manipulator shaft to effect two translational movements of the manipulator shaft along two mutually orthogonal axes perpendicular to the manipulator shaft axis and three rotational movements about the three mutually orthogonal axes including the manipulator shaft axis.
Abstract: A regulator for water base paint has a casing with an inlet port, an outlet port and a paint chamber. The paint chamber is defined inside the casing in fluid communication with the outlet port. A valve seat is positioned between the paint chamber and the inlet port. A valve is arranged to be pressed against or released from the valve seat depending on an internal pressure in the paint chamber, thereby maintaining the delivery pressure from the outlet port constant. In the regulator having the above construction, the valve and the valve seat are made of corrosion-resistant metallic materials of different hardnesses. One of the valve and the valve seat is made of a ceramic material and the other thereof is made of sintered hard alloy.
Abstract: A working line having a plurality of work stations arranged in series and a free-flow transport conveyor for transporting workpieces to the work stations. An outer frame supporting the conveyor extends over the work stations. A jig base is provided in each of the work stations and is inserted into a framed space of the outer frame. A jig is provided on each of the jig base supporting and positioning each of the workpieces on the transport conveyor at the respective work station. The transport conveyor includes a main transport conveyor on the outer frame, a plurality of pallets riding on the main transport conveyor, and a return conveyor supported on the outer frame under the transport conveyor for returning empty pallets to a starting end of the line. The transport conveyor and return conveyor comprise, respectively, a pair of right and left conveying members provided in parallel to each other on both lateral sides thereof.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an eyeglass frame which uses parts made of an NT alloy. The eyeglass frame according to the present invention comprises a bridge (9) formed of a material which is difficult to work and a pair of right and left rims (2) which are formed integrally with opposite ends of said bridge (9). With this arrangement, easy production processes can be achieved and the number of parts can be reduced, whereby it is possible to mass-produce eyeglass frames.

Abstract: A noodle making machine includes a flour storing arrangement, a mixing arrangement to form entangled noodle base by stirring the flour fed from the flour storing arrangement together with kneading water, and a water feeding arrangement to feed kneading water to the mixing arrangement. Also, a noodle-making control arrangement is provided to control the noodle quantity for each meal by keeping constant the feed quantities of the flour and kneading water for unit time, and for changing the feed times.
