Abstract: A method of efficiently bending a lead of an electric part by use of a bender including an upper die and a lower die without denting or scratching the lead and hence causing no peeling of the plating therefrom. The method comprises the steps of: clamping the root portion of the leads between a moving stripper of the upper die and a fixed die member of the lower die; effecting a first motion in which the distal end portion of the lead that is clamped between a moving punch of the upper die and a moving die member of the lower die is pressed downwardly; and effecting a second motion simultaneously with the first motion, in which the moving punch and the moving die member, which clamp the distal end portion of the lead, are moved in a direction perpendicular to the direction of the first motion, thereby bending the lead along an approximately circular locus about the root portion of the lead by a resultant motion from the first and second motions of the moving punch and the moving die member.
Abstract: This invention provides a halogen-containing thermoplastic resin composition comprising a halogen-containing thermoplastic resin (A), a melt-moldable vinyl alcohol polymer (B) and a polyesteramide (C), the proportions of (B) and (C) being 0.1 to 100 parts by weight and 0.1 to 10 parts by weight, respectively, based on 100 parts by weight of (A). The component (C) improves the compatibility between the components (A) and (B).
Abstract: A noodle making machine includes a flour storing arrangement, a mixing arrangement to form entangled noodle base by stirring the flour fed from the flour storing arrangement together with kneading water, and a water feeding arrangement to feed kneading water to the mixing arrangement. Also, a noodle-making control arrangement is provided to control the noodle quantity for each meal by keeping constant the feed quantities of the flour and kneading water for unit time, and for changing the feed times.
Abstract: Disclosed is an optical switching connector including a ferrule plate, which fixes an end of an optical fiber to a predetermined position, has pin grooves formed in parallel at its both ends, and has at least one of its pin grooves formed to a width enabling horizontal movement of a reference pin, pin holding members which position the reference pin in said pin grooves, and a frame body which houses said ferrule plate and pin holding members. The optical switching connector is characterized in that the pin holding members are provided individually for each pin groove and provision is made at the both sides of the pin grooves of members for pressing the pin holding members corresponding to the pin grooves where the reference pins can move horizontally to the ferrule plate.
Abstract: A simplified drop celing room conversion is accomplished without, in any manner, disturbing the original ceiling of an office or room by providing integral, generally angle-shaped, longitudinally-extending structural members that are to be securely and fully mounted in an endwise-aligned relation on and about walls of the room at a desired lower ceiling height and, in such a manner as to fully and exclusively serve to support and carry a so-called drop ceiling. Each member has a horizontally-outwardly-extending upper shelf part for fully supporting and carrying cross-extending rail members that define open spaces therebetween with the sidewall-mounted supporting structural members, and which with the supporting members, are adapted to tilt-in receive dry wall ceiling panels in the spaces therebetween.
Abstract: The printing materials of the invention includes a film or sheet prepared from a chlorinated polyethylene containing 10 to 50 wt. % of chlorine and obtained by chlorinating a polyethylene having a molecular weight of 10,000 to 200,000, or from a polymer mixture containing the chlorinated polyethylene; a laminate comprising the film or sheet, and a base material; and a product prepared by impregnating or coating a base material with a solution of the chlorinated polyethylene or the polymer mixture. With the latter two printing materials, the surface of the film or sheet is used as the surface to be printed on. The image fixing method of the invention for use in producing copies by electrostatic printing comprises forming a toner image on one of these printing materials, and thereafter treating the printing material with heat at 160.degree. to 250.degree. C. for 5 to 30 seconds.

Abstract: A control device for an absorption refrigerator which forms a refrigeration cycle by connecting an evaporator, an absorption unit, a generator, a condenser and the like to control a heating amount of the generator. Singular or plural amounts of change representative of externasl conditions are detected. A heating amount of the generator is controlled by a fuzzy logic calculation.
Abstract: The inventive method comprises the steps of coating the substrate surface with a coating solution containing .beta.-diketone complex of a metallic element in an aprotic polar solvent, drying and irradiating the coating film on the surface with ultraviolet light, optionally, followed by a heat treatment to form an electrically insulating oxidized metal film on the surface. By virtue of the ultraviolet irradiation, the oxidized metal film can be imparted with increased insulation even by omitting the heat treatment or by decreasing the temperature of the heat treatment so that the adverse influences on the characteristics of the substrate can be minimized.
Abstract: A method of defrost for an outdoor side heat exchanger in a heat pump having a refrigeration circuit in which a compressor, an indoor side heat exchanger, an expansion device and the outdoor side heat exchanger are connected together so that a heat collected in the outdoor side heat exchanger is radiated from the indoor side heat exchanger and that defrosting for the outdoor side heat exchanger is started when the outdoor heat exchanger is frosted, and a temperature sensor is provided to detect a temperature of the indoor side heat exchanger, wherein the defrosting is started when the temperature detected by the temperature sensor is not higher than a first predetermined level with a downward gradient, which is calculated on the basis of the temperature, of the same temperature becoming as sharp as, or sharper than, a predetermined gradient, and the first temperature level is increased after the temperature becomes as high as a second predetermined level wherein the second level.gtoreq.the first level.
Abstract: A disc player for playing a first disc having data recorded on both sides thereof and also a second disc having data recorded on only one side thereof has disc drive means loadable with one of the first and second discs selectively. Whether the disc loaded on the drive means is the first disc or the second disc is detected from the data read by pickup means. When the second disc is detected, the pickup means is positioned for the data recording side of the second disc automatically so as to reproduce signals therefrom. Accordingly, even if the second disc is loaded with the disc side oriented erroneously, the data can be read from the recording side at all times.
Abstract: A semiconductor memory device with a flash write function includes word lines and bit lines; memory cells connected between the word lines and the bit lines; and a flash write mode designating unit for designating a flash write mode in accordance with external control signals. The semiconductor memory device further includes an internal address generating unit which is driven during a flash write mode for sequentially generating internal address signals. The semiconductor memory device additionally has a word-line selecting unit for sequentially selecting the word lines in accordance with the internal address signals from the internal address generating unit. A preset data generating unit is further included in the semiconductor memory device for generating preset data.

The pacing unit incorporates a catheter with pacing electrodes and leads extending from the pacing electrodes through the body of the catheter, a catheter holder for holding the catheter, and a pacer. Into the pacer, the connector plugs of the leads are plugged with the catheter holder fixedly attached to the pacer by interlocking means consisting of members fitting in respect to each other.
Abstract: A physical quantity control device includes first and second control elements having different sensitivities from one another, the first and second control elements providing outputs to change at least one physical quantity in response to first and second operational quantities individually input to the first and second control elements. First and second computing circuits are provided for computing the first and second operational quantities in response to a deviation between a predetermined target value and the physical quantity, wherein the physical quantity is feedback controlled to converge with the predetermined target value.

Abstract: An oil ejection control valve is interposed in a first hydraulic engagement element of an automatic transmission system from which oil is ejected when a certain speed stage shifting operation is to be carried out. The oil ejection control valve is provided with a valve member which is normally biased to a closed position by a spring. The valve member is provided with a first pressure receiving surface to which the ejection pressure from the first hydraulic engagement element is applied and a second pressure receiving surface to which the supply pressure to a second hydraulic engagement element is applied during the afore-mentioned shifting operation, the second hydraulic engagement element being the one to which pressure is supplied so as to engage the same during the speed stage shifting operation.
Abstract: A programmable logic circuit includes a memory sector and other logic elements which are laid peripherally, wherein the memory sector is prestored with possible input data and output data which are derived by fuzzy reasoning. In application, observed data on an objective entity outside is first treated by a logic element to convert the data to digital form and then input as an address in the memory sector wherein the input observed data is converted by fuzzy logic to an operative data, which is sent to downstream to subsequent circuit elements to control a device. The illustrated embodiment is for an air-conditioning system wherein introduction of a memory sector having fuzzy logic based data will prevent erroneous actions in the downstrem devices which are caused by erroneously input data, in the process of processing data by a conventional programmable logic circuit.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of producing a mold material used for obtaining a mold for casting metals such as Zn, Al and the like or molding resins. In the method, the short fibers having an aspect ratio of 30 to 300 and obtained by cutting ferritic stainless steel long fibers having a width of 100 .mu.m or less, ferritic stainless steel powder and at least one of Cu powder and Cu alloy powder are used as raw materials. The raw materials are blended to obtain a material mixture which is then compressed under pressure in a Cold Isostatic Press process. The thus obtained compressed product is sintered in a vacuum atmosphere. The sintered material is held in an atmosphere of nitrogen gas or decomposed ammonia gas so that 0.3 to 1.2 wt % of nitrogen is added to the stainless steel in the sintered material. The thus obtained mold material has a hardness of HMV 250 to 500.
Abstract: A resin composition comprising polyarylene sulfide, polyvinylidene fluoride and optionally ultrafine particles and a method of adhering a polyarylene sulfide article and a polyvinylidene fluoride article by using a resin composition comprising polyarylene sulfide, polyvinylidene fluoride and optionally ultrafine particles as an adhesive comprises the steps of melting portions of the polyarylene sulfide article and the polyvinylidene fluoride article to be adhered and the adhesive at a temperature between a melting point of the polyarylene sulfide and 400.degree. C.; bringing the portions to be adhered into contact with each other via the adhesive in a molten state; and cooling the adhered portions in a contact state.
