The head end is formed by a single "U" shaped tube which joins the beams, holds a head board, supports the side rails, and provides recesses for IV tube support rods; the foot end is formed by a single channel having similar and additional functions as the head end; and the central section of the middle frame includes a pair of wing-like plates which form a part of and provide the principal support for the upper frame. The total number of components of the bed is substantially reduced by the design of these components to serve multiple functions, which conserves material, reduces expense, and allows for easier repair and adjustment.

    Abstract: The disclosed invention embodies a unique control for cocking and then releasing the shutter blades covering the lens structure of a photographic camera unit. The shutter blade operating mechanism is supported within a housing in which there are provided a pair of slotted regions through which extend control levers used to provide, when moved, the operational control needed to cock or release the blade structure relative to the photographic lens proper. Each control lever is provided at its end portion with a form of identification and conjoint means operable therewith and having a concordant form of identification so that through observation it may immediately be determined by an operator in which of two operational states the camera is instantaneously conditioned. When using an endless belt as substrate, the plain solidification surface may be modified by superposing a skeleton framework to form selectively shaped tablet or bar molds.     Abstract: An automatic system for the surveillance of the incremental speeds of production equipment including a pair of rotary driven gears rotatable about a common axis and in face to face relation. The rotary driven members are independently driven by activating stepping, cocking means including a pulse energized solenoid. An arm laterally movable in response to said pulse extends from a position adjacent the solenoid. Adjacent the forward end of the arm there is a coil spring frictionally maintained in engagement around a shaft and having an extension adapted to be engaged by said arm. A leaf spring is disposed rearwardly of the extension of said coil spring. When the arm moves in response to the pulse it contacts and rotates the coil spring and also moves the leaf spring into taut or cocked position. When the arm is released by the interruption of the pulse the leaf spring is also released as well as the coil spring.
