    Abstract: A method for forming conductive paths of varying thickness on miniature electronic components such as I.C. and capacitors is disclosed. In accordance with the method there is provided a planar mask, the undersurface of which includes recessed areas of varying thickness and may include throughgoing paths. Apertures are formed through the mask in registry with the recessed areas and conductive path forming material is forced through the apertures and throughgoing paths to fill the recessed areas and paths. The mask is removed to form increments of conductive material of differing thickness corresponding to the thickness of the recessed areas and paths.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a lock comprising an assembly of identification plates provided with coding notches. A flat key, presenting a coded side, pushes the plates until their notches are brought into alignment, in which a feeler then comes into mesh by a rectilinear edge. The plates, continuing to slide under the thrust of the key, take along, via the feeler, a member for controlling the bolt. An alarm device indicates any introduction of an unsuitable key.

    Abstract: A pressure vessel comprises an enclosure in which are a liquid orifice and a gas orifice spaced from the liquid orifice. A separator divides the enclosure into two variable volume chambers. One of these is a liquid chamber communicating with the liquid orifice and the other is a gas chamber communicating with the gas orifice. The separator has a transverse wall spaced from the gas and liquid orifices and movable inside the enclosure. There is an orifice in the enclosure communicating with the gas chamber through which there is passed into the gas chamber a sensor which is responsive at one end to the presence of a liquid. In a neutral position of this transverse wall the responsive end of the sensor is nearer the transverse wall than it is to the orifice in the enclosure through which it passes into the gas chamber. The sensor preferably comprises an optical probe.

In the center of the roller shell (2), the rods (1) are connected articulatedly with a disk (5) disposed on the shaft (3) and are thereby held at a certain diameter in this region. In the region of the sides of the roller shell (2), the rods (1) are hinged via load levers (7) to sleeves (11) displaceable on the shaft (3). Via a driven spindle (15), the position of the sleeves (11) and hence also the form of the roller shell (2) can be changed.

Since the edge surfaces of the bombardment-inhibiting profiles (11, 12) which define the gap (13) are formed with respective ridges (4, 17) and grooves (15, 16) intermeshed with one another, the gap course is sinusoidal. This offers a high degree of security against shoot-through and break-in in the gap region of the door or of the window.

    Abstract: An arc-resistant trimable monolithic ceramic capacitor is disclosed. The capacitor includes a surface electrode covered by a further dielectric layer, the further dielectric layer including an aperture registering with portions of the surface electrode, margins of the surface electrode being covered by the further dielectric layer. The capacitor may be trimmed, if necessary, by eroding portions of the surface electrode exposed through the aperture of the further dielectric layer. The covering dielectric layer prevents arc-over at the edges of the surface electrode and prevents changes in value of the finished capacitor by preventing portions of the surface layer from separating from the further dielectric layer.

    Abstract: A connector mechanism for linking the ends of successive fluorescent fixtures includes a pair of plates defining the ends of the fixtures, one said plate including a projecting hook portion which extends through the other said plate. A threaded connection to the slide enables the slide to be drawn along the cam surface and accordingly to clamp the end plates tightly against each other.

The fuse component is formed by a reduced cross section area of electroding material formed as a portion of a pattern on a ceramic layer of the capacitor. The capacitor incorporates three terminals, namely a common terminal, a terminal connecting the electrode layers intervening between the electrodes connected to the common terminal, and a third terminal coupled by the reduced cross section fuse area to the second mentioned terminal. The intermediate electrodes may be divided into discrete areas, and less than all of the intermediate electrodes may be interconnected to thereby permit variation in the capacitance of the device. Further described is a circuit whereby the capacitor is connected to the power supply terminals of an integrated circuit device or the like.

    Abstract: The device according to the invention comprises a passive guiding assembly and a correction device, acting in combination to offer a regular fold before the stitching station. The passive assembly comprises two elements of which one is placed inside the other in the form of a U during formation of the fold. The upper and lower faces of the inner element are plane and horizontal, the lower face being in the working plane of the stitching station. The recess between the two elements allows passage of the fabric. The correction device comprises a device for detecting the presence of the fabric placed under the inner element and an active guiding assembly. The active guiding assembly abuts on the fabric and ensures transverse displacement thereof as a function of the instructions given by the detection device.
