  • Patent number: 5679246
Abstract: The containment system provides a simple but automatic closure device that requires minimum and low cost maintenance. Storm water can pass through the drains and does not require manual pumping like the prior art systems. Small mounts of contaminants will be absorbed as the water passes through the drain ensuring the storm water leaving the containment area is free of contaminants. Hydrophobic swellable polymer particles are located in the drain to seal the drain in the event that organic liquids such as oil, gasoline, etc. flow into the drain.

  • Patent number: 5616012
Abstract: The pump is formed by a body having a cavity with a piston chamber in which a piston is reciprocated. A rotatable crank shaft is provided to reciprocate the piston along inward and outward strokes to draw ammonia into the pump by way of an inlet and then to pump the ammonia out by way of an outlet. A diaphragm in a diaphragm chamber is provided to separate the ammonia from the piston and piston chamber. One side of the diaphragm is in fluid communication with the piston chamber and the other side is in fluid communication with the inlet and outlet. A liquid is provided for flow into and out of the piston chamber to cause the diaphragm to move inward and outward to cause the suction and pumping action for the ammonia as the piston reciprocates in its inward and outward strokes.

  • Patent number: 5595330
Abstract: The power supply includes a voltage controlled oscillator, two potentiometers and a by-pass circuit coupled to the output of the voltage controlled oscillator. The two potentiometers form two channels, channel 1 and channel 2, one of which will be selected during the bonding cycle to be coupled to a power amplifier. The output of the power amplifier is adapted to be coupled to an ultrasonic transducer for operating the transducer. Selectable channel 1 and channel 2 reference voltage devices are provided. The voltage and current applied to the amplifier are converted to power. During a bonding cycle, a comparator compares the power applied to the transducer with that of a selected reference voltage and varies the output of the potentiometer of the selected channel to maintain the output of the power amplifier constant during bonding.
