Abstract: The invention relates to a Rogowski-loop current sensor comprising a winding (4) extending between two ends (14, 16) configured to be provided about a primary conductor in which flows a current to be measured by moving said ends away from or towards each other. The sensor further includes a closing mechanism (18) provided at the ends of the winding, and including a body (20) having a high magnetic permeability and extending between said ends when the loop is closed.
Abstract: The present invention pertains to polyisobutylene urethane, urea and urethane/urea copolymers, to methods of making such copolymers and to medical devices that contain such polymers. According to certain aspects of the invention, polyisobutylene urethane, urea and urethane/urea copolymers are provided, which comprise a polyisobutylene segment, an additional polymeric segment that is not a polyisobutylene segment, and a segment comprising a residue of a diisocyanate. According to other aspects of the invention, polyisobutylene urethane, urea and urethane/urea copolymers are provided, which comprise a polyisobutylene segment and end groups that comprise alkyl-, alkenyl- or alkynyl-chain-containing end groups.

Abstract: A surge protection module comprises a base, a plurality of first pins extending from the base to connect electrically to an upstream circuit, a plurality of second pins extending from the base to connect electrically to a downstream circuit, a fuse device acting between each first pin and a respective one of the second pins, at least one analog arrestor upstream of the fuse devices that is electrically connected across the first pins and in electrical connection to a ground terminal extending from the base, and a low capacitance solid state arrestor arrangement electrically connected to each second pin downstream of the fuse devices and to the ground terminal.
Abstract: A grader-blade retainer assembly affording side-to-side movement of the blade that provides a compliant attachment of an upper retainer assembly to the grader-blade assembly. An embodiment facilitates adjustment of the retainer assembly, as in the case of wear, without the necessity of hand tools.

Abstract: A medical device lead includes an insulative lead body, a conductor extending through the lead body from a proximal end to a distal end, and an electrode electrically connected to the conductor. The proximal end is adapted to be electrically connected to a pulse generator. The electrode includes a plurality of electrode modules mechanically coupled in a stack of electrode modules. Each electrode module includes a plurality of layers that define substantially similar sized pores such that the stack of electrode modules includes an array of the substantially similar sized pores.
Abstract: An oxygenator combines, in a single structure, a heat exchanger, a gas exchanger and an arterial filter. Such an oxygenator permits fewer fluid connections and thus may simplify an extracorporeal blood circuit, including a heart-lung machine and a blood reservoir, in which it is used. In some cases, the oxygenator may be configured to include multiple purge ports for purging bubbles both before and after filtering the blood.

Abstract: An in-rush or out-rush current limiting circuit employs a low number of components to effect in-rush current limiting and may be employed in dongles or on-chip (in the case of serving as an out-rush current limiting circuit). The in-rush current limiting circuit may be employed, for example, in USB dongles, Display Port (DP) dongles, or any other suitable connector as desired. Alternatively, the circuit may be integrated onto a circuit board or within an integrated circuit as desired. Among other advantages, a lower cost, low complexity solution may be provided. In addition, bulk capacitance can be increased such as by employing a trickle resistor or other suitable limiting structure.
Abstract: A catheter assembly for cannulating an ostium of a coronary sinus of a heart comprises an outer catheter member and an inner catheter member. The outer catheter member has a distal end portion including a deflectable distal end and a lumen extending through the deflectable distal end, wherein the distal end portion includes regions of varying stiffness and has a pre-formed curvature. The inner catheter member is slidably and rotatably disposed within the lumen of the outer catheter member, and has a distal end portion including a distal end, and a lumen extending through the distal end. The distal end portion of the inner catheter member has regions of varying stiffness and a pre-formed curvature. The outer and inner catheter members are configured such that relative translation and rotation of the outer and inner catheter members causes the distal end of the outer catheter member to assume a plurality of two and three dimensional shapes.
Abstract: An assembly of a mounting support and an optical fibre connector adaptor (20) mounted on the support, wherein the adaptor has a connector-receiving axis and at least one lateral (to the said axis) mounting projection (25) on at least a first one of its sides, and the mounting support comprises wall members (not necessarily flat or continuous) upstanding from the support on both sides of the said adaptor, which wall members on at least one side of the adaptor define mounting slots adapted to receive the said mounting projections of the adaptor, and wherein the slots are formed to permit movement of the adaptor between at least a first position in which the adaptor is supported with its said axis at an acute angle to the support, and a working position in which the adaptor is supported with its said axis lying substantially parallel to the support, and wherein the wall members define, in at least one of the said slots, at least one shoulder (30) on which one of the mounting projections (25) of the adaptor can b
