  • Patent number: 5964378
Abstract: Mixing chamber assembly having a reciprocating rod within a mixing chamber of a mixing chamber member. The rod is in a non-interference position with the mixing chamber over its entire length within the mixing chamber. The non-interference fit provides continuous solvent flow about the exterior of the rod and interior of the wall defining the mixing chamber so solvent drips out the discharge end of the mixing chamber and the rod is free to float or ride on a solvent film. "Solvent" can include a combination of solvent and other ingredients such as lubricants, emulsifiers and flow control particles. The rod's ability to ride on a solvent film over the entire portion received within the mixing chamber, allows for a much reduced reciprocating motive force requirement and a corresponding freedom to increase the mixing chamber volume.

  • Patent number: 5961366
Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved yo-yo wherein a clutching device is disposed between the shaft and the disks such that the spinning stroke can be prolonged. The yo-yo includes first and second disks that are fixedly connected together by means of a shaft. A bushing is rotationally enveloped onto the shaft and is rotationally disposed within one of the disks. One of the disks is provided with a clutching device that is engaged with the bushing that is rotationally disposed therein by means of a resilient force. Wherein when those disks are spun, the centrifugal force generated thereof will overcome the resilient force such that the bushing will be released by the clutching device and the first and second disks and the shaft will spin independently to the bushing. When the spinning of the first and second disks and the shaft slows down, the clutching device engages the bushing again such that the bushing will spin with the first and second disks and the shaft jointly.

  • Patent number: 5958451
Abstract: The porous capslues were prepared by mechanical drilling, addition of effervescent to gelatin solution, or purging of inert gas into the gelatin solution. The porous capsules were then hardened by exposure to the cross-linking reagent, or by radiating under the UV, or microwave, or .gamma.-Ray. The usage of these porous gelatin capsules apart for pharmaceuticals extends to veterinary, cosmetic, and nutrient purposes. They are also utilized in the delivering of required beneficial agents to the chemical reactor, environment, and for agricultural purposes.

  • Patent number: 5956837
Abstract: After the release of the application of an attraction voltage to an electrostatic chuck that is attracting a semiconductor wafer, the wafer is pushed upward by lifting pins through only a very small projection distance. Immediately after processing has ended, the temperature of the wafer is several tens of degrees higher than that of the electrostatic chuck so that, if the wafer has detached, the temperature of the rear surface thereof will fall toward the original temperature of the electrostatic chuck. If the wafer has not detached, the temperature thereof will not fall. Therefore, a determination is made as to whether the wafer has detached or whether it is being subjected to residual attraction, based on temperature change data obtained for the wafer in combination with the electrostatic chuck, by a temperature sensor after the wafer has been pushed upward by a very small projection distance. If there is residual attraction, wafer transfer is halted.

  • Patent number: 5957272
Abstract: A push button which is employed in a control panel includes button body, a pushing finger, and a core. The button body has hollow space formed at an inner portion thereof and a bellows portion formed around a side portion thereof. The pushing finger protrudes upwardly from an outer surface of an upper end portion of the button body for receiving a pushing force. The core is retained in the hollow space, and fixed at an inner surface of the closed upper end portion. When the bellows portion of the button body is elastically compressed by a pushing force, an other end portion of the core is protruded from the lower end portion of the button body, and when the pushing force is removed from the pushing finger, the other end portion of the core is retained in the hollow space.

  • Patent number: 5958829
Abstract: A coating dispersion is shown for the production of catalysis-promoting coatings on an inert, structure-reinforcing element. The solids of the dispersion are present in various particle fractions and lead to a relatively rough coating surface with improved exchange between the exhaust gas and the catalyst surface. This results in improved heat-up behavior of the catalyst.

This unit is composed of three filter columns: the first packed with quartz sand, the second with a Cu--Zn alloy of high purity, and the third with sintered microporous PE. A five channel ball valve connects the water supply with the backwashable precise prefilter unit, and then with the super precise filter. The five channel ball valve has three different working positions, namely, a cleaning water position, a discharging water position, and a backwashing position. The useful life of this backwashable precise prefilter unit can be more than three years.

  • Patent number: 5958260
Abstract: An eye mold device for electrical machining device in which the electrode with different outer diameter can be readily and firmly supported within the eye mold for machining. A substantially triangular passage is defined by three accurate rods which are disposed within a mounting groove of a receiving barrel. When the electrode is inserted within the triangular passage, the electrode can be vertically and firmly supported and calibrated therein. By this arrangement, the electrode can be prevented from skewing during the machining process. On the other hand, the circularity and verticality of the performed hole can be kept. The size of the triangular passage is defined and dependent upon the outer diameter of the three accurate rods. In practice, the three accurate rods are selected and based on the outer diameter of the electrode such that the triangular passage formed thereof is matched to the outer diameter of the electrode.

  • Patent number: 5956155
Abstract: In a facsimile apparatus having a facsimile modem function for a personal computer to perform communications through the facsimile apparatus, the changeover between a facsimile mode and a facsimile modem mode is automatically made based on whether an AT command is transmitted from the personal computer or not. When an AT command is received while the facsimile apparatus is in the standby state in the facsimile mode, the operation mode is changed to the facsimile modem mode to execute the command. When no AT command is received within a predetermined period of time after the execution of the AT command, the operation mode is returned to the facsimile mode. In changing the mode, the facsimile apparatus is disconnected from the telephone line.
