Abstract: The present invention provides an improved device for cleaning dental implant posts comprising a handle specifically adapted for ease of use by a person of limited or impaired dexterity or muscle control or a care giver and a series of brush and pick attachments specifically adapted for cleaning dental implant posts. This handle configuration eliminates the need for a pencil-like grip.
Abstract: An electrosurgical device for performing uvulopalatoplasty is provided. The device of the present invention comprises two configurations. The first configuration comprises a handle having an actuator which actuates a barrel fixedly mounted to a handle. This embodiment is contemplated to be disposable for single patient use. The second configuration comprises a handle having an actuator having a detachable barrel. Both devices of the present invention are designed to fit easily into a patient's mouth and maximize the surgeon's manual control.
Abstract: A test kit for the rapid detection and drug sensitivity of malaria is presented. The test kit of the present invention comprises a unique microscope/slide incubation chamber which permits rapid detection of malaria in wet blood samples using a regular transmitted light microscope to detect opaque hemozoin particles.
