Abstract: An electronic percussion instrument which includes a housing suspended from the bottom end of the barrel which houses the percussive impact sensor. The percussive impact sensor includes transducer. The arrangement of the percussive impact sensor and the housing maximizes the distance of the transducer from the percussion head.
Abstract: An orthodontic bite jumping device for use in the treatment of malocclusion or overbite, having a telescoping limiting assembly to prevent an inner cylindrical member from being completely pulled-out of an outer tube as a patient opens their mouth very wide. The outer tube is adapted to be mounted to an upper jaw or maxilla and the inner cylindrical member is concentrically disposed in the outer tube and adapted to be mounted to a lower jaw or mandible. The telescoping limiting assembly limits the distance the inner cylindrical member can slide out of the outer tube via a pair of notches and an L-shaped resilient lever arm. The first notch is formed in close proximity to a free end of the outer tube. The second notch is formed in close proximity to a free end of the inner cylindrical member and has a rear blocking surface and a forward descending slope or ramped surface to a bottom of the rear blocking surface.
Abstract: A tortilla warming appliance for warming one or more tortillas in a manner similar to a toaster. The tortilla warming appliance comprises a collapsible tortilla cage for each tortilla and a push-down, pop-up, arc-shaped cradle assembly slidably coupled in a respective tortilla cage. The cradle assembly has a concave center section, which defines an arc that approximates a curved perimeter edge of the tortilla. Furthermore, the width of the front and back tortilla cage wall is greater than the diameter of a commercially available tortilla.
Abstract: A secure fishing pole and reel locking assembly comprising a pole holder rack and a reel cover which is adapted to be mounted to a wall and locked. When the reel cover is locked, the reel cover locks the fishing poles in the pole holder rack and covers the reels. The reel cover is adapted to be locked via a pad lock or other locking mechanism.
Abstract: A clamping stand having a workpiece tray that includes a planar surface that is adapted to be clamped in the tray. The planar surface includes two spaced-apart parallel surfaces joined together via a V-shaped channel. One of the surface includes a notch which is adapted to receive an arm of the clamping member to clamp the workpiece either in the V-shaped channel or on top of the planar surface.
Abstract: A rotary-blade cutting apparatus which includes a spring-biased cutting-blade cover. The cover is spring biased to a closed position and includes a projection for manually applying a hold-open force to rotate and hold the spring-biased cover in an open or retracted position in a cutting-blade chassis. The handle of the apparatus is angled to provide for a more comfortable grip.
Abstract: A bracelet fastening tool comprising a band which fits around the wrist of a user and a resilient, bracelet-securing bracket coupled to the band. The resilient, bracelet-securing bracket comprises a bracelet docking pad having a width which is wider than the width of the band wherein one side of the bracelet docking pad radiates from the band and tapers and arcs to form a hooking implement. Holes are formed in the other side of said bracelet docking pad. A resilient strapping member is tied to the holes and is adapted to hook onto the hooking implement across the bracelet docking pad to secure the bracelet. The band may be elastic or an open-ended or C-shaped spring band made of a flexible metal.
Abstract: A collapsible hunter's blind apparatus, for enclosing a hunter in a truncated triangularly-shaped enclosure, comprising: first and second vertically draping camouflage panels, a first horizontal telescopic frame member for horizontally supporting the first vertically draping camouflage panel, and a second horizontal telescopic frame member for horizontally supporting the second vertically draping camouflage panel. The first and second horizontal telescopic frame members are coupled to the sides of a tree trunk via an adjustable strap member. The collapsible hunter's blind apparatus further comprises an arc-shaped strap member which provides a reciprocating force to counterbalance gravitational forces and the weight of the horizontally supported first and second vertically draping camouflage panels acting on the first and second telescopic horizontal support members, respectively, to maintain each of the first and second telescopic horizontal support members substantially horizontal.
Abstract: An improved retractable cleat device having a housing and a telescopic cleat member absent a handle. The telescopic cleat member is lockable in the housing in a retracted position via a cam channel having at least one interval engaging a cam follower. The cam channel includes at least one interval which unlocks the telescopic cleat and allows the telescopic cleat to move to an upraised position via a bias force of a compression spring.
Abstract: A door security device comprising a quickly removable door stop adapted to be removably coupled to a floor surface having a plurality of spaced apertures in close proximity to a closed door. The quickly removable door stop comprises a handle portion and a plurality of spaced prongs coupled to the handle portion. The plurality of prongs are adapted to be received in a plurality of spaced apertures formed in the floor surface. The door security device preferably also includes a door coupler having a flange with a plurality of aligned apertures adapted to receive the prongs of the door stop.
Abstract: A plasma tube is provided in which water vapor, carbon dioxide, molecular nitrogen and a simple hydrocarbon are excited to ionization to emit electromagnetic frequency spectra for exciting electron orbitals of biological tissue. The anode end of the tube is shielded by a cylindrical shield electrically connected to the anode, while a reflector and a transversely polarized magnetic piece direct the spectral emissions adjacent the cathode towards the skin of a person. The tube is pulsed to ionization in a pulse waveform that comprises the frequency domain of biological electrochemistry. In this manner the molecular architecture of a cell is excited to promote the cell growth process.
Abstract: An athletic trainer is designed to exercise a wide variety of muscle groups and has a skirt that fits onto the shoulders of a user and a wrap that encompasses the user's torso section. A pair of elastic cords are connected between the skirt and the wrap on the front of the device, while another pair of elastic cords are attached to the back portion of the skirt and are coupled to the wrap at each cord's medial portion. Gloves are attached to each end of the this pair of elastic cords. Yet another pair of elastic cords are attached to the back portion of the skirt and are coupled to the wrap at each cord's medial portion. Straps are connected to each of this pair of elastic cords for coupling the cords to the footwear of the user.
Abstract: A buoy drilling anchoring system including a retrievable buoy anchoring drilling device and at least one anchorable marker buoy assembly anchorable into the earth's surface underwater. The retrievable buoy anchoring drilling device is adapted to anchor in the earth's surface underwater at least one anchorable marker buoy assembly having an earth penetratable anchor and is retrievable from underwater after the anchorable marker buoy assembly is anchored for subsequent use thereof. Thereby, a single retrievable buoy anchoring drilling device can be used to anchor a plurality of anchorable marker buoy assemblies such as used to mark the underwater locations for placement of cables or pipelines such as without limitation, a gas pipeline and an oil pipeline.
