Abstract: Systems and methods are described to determine a region of interest, determine a first beam steering angle of a first ultrasound beam transmitted from an ultrasound transducer array that results in a maximum representative signal value received from the region of interest, determine a second beam steering angle based on the first beam steering angle, the second beam steering angle being closer to perpendicular with the ultrasound transducer array than the first beam steering angle, and acquire an ultrasound image using a beam transmitted from the ultrasound transducer array at the second beam steering angle.
Abstract: Systems and methods are described to create a plurality of ultrasound images of an area, each of the plurality of ultrasound images acquired using a respective beam steering angle, determine, for each of a plurality of image pixel locations in each of the plurality of ultrasound images, a value of an image pixel located at an image pixel location, identify, for each of the plurality of image pixel locations, a value among the plurality of values determined for the pixel location other than the largest value of the plurality of values determined for the pixel location, and create a first output image in which each of the plurality of image pixel locations of the output image includes an image pixel having the value identified for the image pixel location.
Abstract: A guaranteed minimum accumulated benefit (GMAB) variable annuity contract management apparatus stores contract data on GMAB variable annuity contracts having a predetermined contract duration. The apparatus also stores fund data on amounts paid to purchase the contracts. The apparatus computes a portion of the amounts paid that is to be allocated to a bond fund. The apparatus stores data on the portion of the amounts paid to be allocated to the bond fund. A substantial portion, or all, of the bond fund is invested in bonds that have a maturity date that matches the contract duration of the GMAB variable annuity contracts.

Abstract: Methods and structures for utilizing reusable custom-defined nestable compound data types to permit product variations within an existing taxonomy are described. Multi-attribute Tuples representing individual product variations provide an efficient way to represent an irregular subset of all attribute permutations. Tuples, using the system, methods and structures of one or more embodiments of the invention, provide an elegant solution to efficiently represent the many variations.

Abstract: A system for determining a basket of financial instruments for hedging investment risk in actively managed exchange traded funds is described. The system uses a trusted computer system and includes a computer storage medium storing a computer program product. The product determines the basket of hedging instruments by extracting factor information from a portfolio of the actively managed exchange traded fund and determining factors that affect the price of the exchange traded fund. The program can select a portfolio of instruments with similar behavior with respect to the determined factors to produce a hedging portfolio that tracks the price of the exchange traded fund.
Abstract: A holder for a contactless payment card includes a substrate that has a first side and a second side that is opposite to the first side. There is an adhesive material on the first side of the substrate. The holder also includes at least one sheet that is joined to the substrate to form a pouch. The second side of the substrate faces the pouch. Abstract: Methods for enforcing group oriented workflow requirements for multi-layered documents. Embodiments allow results of multi-layered operations to dictate the flow of tasks that occur on a multi-layered document. Flow is directed to roles and may be directed by the data values operated on in addition to multi-layered operation results. The system enables the workflow enabled creation and maintenance of multi-layered documents that minimize repeated data to ensure the highest possible data integrity when targeting a publication at multiple audiences. When a publication is changed and requires maintenance, use of a defined workflow for updating the publication ensures consistency in each publication. Embodiments may comprise performance metrics for monitoring and benchmarking publication processes.
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide an accelerated system and methods for gathering business information, augmenting that information to conform to requirements for sharing the information and for synchronizing, managing and publishing the information across the supply chain. A control module business gathers information from a variety of enterprise wide systems and stored via an acceleration engine. The information is published to a data pool and registered by the data pool with a registry. One or more embodiments of the user interface component comprise declaratively defined interfaces that are not hardcoded in a source code program. The server interface is capable of utilizing declaratively defined interface definitions for data pool specific messages and data attributes that are not hardcoded in a source code program. Declaratively defined user and server interfaces allow for modification of the interface without altering the source code.

Information about the content files is displayed in a preview format through a portal interface before the content files are imported.
