Abstract: The instant invention relates to a mechanism for aligning bobbins in, for example, a loom for subsequent movement of the bobbins to, for example, a stripping unit associated with the loom. The apparatus includes an inclined ramp upon which the bobbins fall and an upstream deflector mechanism to deflect and position a falling bobbin for engagement with the inclined ramp to align the bobbins and to prevent jamming thereof.
Abstract: A system for size reduction and separation of plastic-metal assemblies for the purpose of reclaiming the plastic and/or metal for reuse. The system includes a granulator followed by a fiber/dust separator with these components preferably being repeated, followed by a screening separator, and finally a hightension separator for separating plastic and metal. The system particularly incorporates an impact-counterflow separator for removing fiber/dust from heavier plastic and metallic particles.

Abstract: The instant invention relates to a belt driven traverse for reciprocating a running strand of yarn in a winding machine. Said traverse means comprises a timing type belt travelling in a closed path around two sprockets and which carries and reciprocates a yarn guide longitudinally of a winding package. Means are associated with said yarn guide to prevent rotary motion thereof as it is carried around said closed path.
Abstract: Winding apparatus is disclosed herein which includes a strand detection system having a fault sensing zone operable to receive a strand and detect faults therein as the strand moves through the zone. Mechanism is incorporated to delay re-entry of the strand into the fault sensing zone following detection of a fault in the strand which leads to removal of the strand from the system.
Abstract: This invention relates to an indexing supply creel of novel construction that automatically indexes either fully or partially wound packages to a winding spindle of an automatic winding machine. The supply creel construction has particular utility in handling the large packages resulting from production on open end spinning process machines.
