Abstract: A furniture slide for placement between an object to be moved and flooring over which the object is to be moved. The slide member has top and bottom faces wherein the bottom face is provided with a smooth surface for sliding on a carpeted floor. A block of compressible material is provided with a top surface for supportive contact with an object or furniture to be moved, and the block is configured and dimensioned for a bottom surface thereof to be removably supported on the top face of the slide member. The bottom face of this compressible block is comprised of a fabric material for sliding engagement on a hard floor surface.
Abstract: A firearm steady-rest which is incorporated as part of a rifle sling. The steady-rest may be a single support arm or a folded support arm system deployed by folding it outward to provide either a V-shaped support configuration or a U-shaped support configuration whereby the upwardly extending distal ends of the support engage and support the firearm therebetween. The steady-rest may be grasped by the operator's forward extending hand to provide maximum steadying of the firearm for sighting and shooting. A gravity deploying bi-pod leg set is also provided which automatically locks into position when fully deployed by a gravity slide lock.
Abstract: A water motor which includes a tubular tipping lever arm open on both ends and a central water fill port, and a central fulcrum pivotally supporting the lever arm for seesaw tipping thereabout. Temporary containment vessels Containers are positioned under each open end of the lever arm to receive water flowing from a respective one of the open ends of the lever arm. Water is drained from each vessel when a respective one of the lever arm ends is in an up position. A float is positioned in each of the containers and each float is provided with an upwardly extending rigid lifting vertical rod of predetermined length for engaging respective of the opposed lever arm ends for thereby cyclically reversing the seesaw tipping of the tipping lever arm and providing also resultant draining of a respective of the containers with the buoyancy force of the floats.
Abstract: The object of this invention is to provide a method for producing a component for vacuum apparatus and a resin coating forming apparatus capable of easily forming a resin coating on an internal flow path complex in shape. The resin coating forming apparatus (21) comprises a monomer vapor supplying unit (23), a vacuum pumping line (24) for transporting monomer vapor, a connection portion (24c) connectable with the internal flow path of a component (22A) provided on part of the vacuum pumping line (24), and a temperature adjusting unit (31) for depositing the monomer vapor onto the internal flow path of the component (22A) connected with the connection portion (24c) to form a resin coating. The above arrangement permits the formation of a uniform, high-coverage resin coating on the internal flow path of the component (22A) by merely exposing the internal flow path to monomer vapor.
Abstract: A computerized system for activating, issuing and otherwise managing transactions and activities pertaining to stored-value cards over a communications network. A central information database is provided for storing stored-value cardholder and card purchaser information received directly from respective stored-value cardholders and card purchasers PCs through a universal central processor via respective communication gateways. The central processor is coupled for communication realtime to multiple unaffiliated stored-value card processing networks normally operated by respective hosts. Each network includes a stored-value card processor coupled to a stored-value card database and multiple respective merchant communication devices. The central processor is programmed for managing the activation and issuance of transactions and activities for the stored-value card through the respective unaffiliated networks.
Abstract: A pumpable inflatable crib bag assembly for supporting a mine roof which includes a generally cylindrical bag having top and bottom ends for retaining and confining a liquid settable grout to be pumped into the bag. The bag further includes an inner generally cylindrical mesh reinforcement disposed within and generally coextending with the bag. This generally cylindrical mesh reinforcement is spaced from an inner wall of the bag and is permeable to the liquid settable grout whereby the liquid settable grout may be pumped through a fill port into the bag to thereby fill the bag and encapsulate the mesh reinforcement. The liquid settable grout is pumped through a fill port which is adjacent the top end of the bag.
Abstract: A stapling apparatus for performing anastomosis on hollow organs. The apparatus consists of two combinable tools which are L-shaped, one tool for retaining staple retaining clips, and the other tool for retaining staples. The L-shaped tools are each provided with an elongated handle and a C-shaped jaw positioned at a distal bottom end of the handle in a plane substantially transverse to the handles of the tools. When the two tools are combined, the C-shaped jaw retaining a series of staple retaining clips is positioned below the C-shaped jaw retaining the arranged series of staples with the respective staples in registration with respective underlying clips for stapling. The C-shaped jaws provide gaps which permit ingress and egress of hollow organ ends to be stapled.

Abstract: A jaw release mechanism for locking pliers which utilize an over-center toggle locking mechanism and wherein the normally stationary upper jaw of the pliers is pivotally fastened to the main body of the pliers. This normally stationary upper jaw is releaseably retained in a normally stationary position relative to the main body of the pliers by a thumb actuated trigger release mechanism whereby the locked pliers may be safely released with the same hand which grasps and manipulates the pliers.
Abstract: A bracket for attaching a fence rail end to a fence post, the bracket having two upstanding sidewalls spaced for receiving the fence rail end therebetween and a rear wall connecting and extending between the two sidewalls. The rear wall is secured to the fence post. A bottom wall is provided between the two sidewalls and defines a support surface for supporting the rail end. One of these sidewalls is hinged to the rear wall for hinging this hinged sidewall outwardly to receive a fence rail end into the bracket from the side. Apertures are provided in the sidewall for securing it to the fence rail after it is received in the bracket with fasteners. The bottom wall which supports the rail end is securable to the rear wall whereby the bracket is adaptable to selectively provide either a left hand bracket or a right hand bracket. A unitary fence rail assembly may thus be installed from the front or side as opposed to having to lower and raise the entire panel for the full height of the fence.

The reactive gas having been introduced in the reactive gas introduction port (30A) is mixed with the raw material gas having been introduced through a plurality of raw material gas introduction ports (30B) and dispersed by means of the dispersion board (32).

Abstract: To alleviate ice freeze-up of vehicle windows which incorporate spaced upper and lower seals which engage an outside surface of the vehicle window, a tool is provided with a handle and a blade extending from the handle and the blade has a bend and a distal end which is curved outwardly in the plane of the blade. The length of the blade segment between the bend and its distal end is selected to be slightly longer than the distance between the upper and lower seals whereby this blade segment may be inserted between the window outside surface and the upper and lower seals and then slid along the window to sever any ice seal existing between the outside window surface and the upper and lower seals to free up the frozen vehicle window for normal operation.
Abstract: To provide a vertical substrate transfer apparatus and a film-forming apparatus capable of, regardless of a carrying position of a substrate, subjecting either surface thereof to film-formation, and capable of supporting and carrying the substrate without interfering with a non-film-forming surface. A film-forming apparatus (1) according to the present invention includes a carrier (15) giving support so that either surface of a substrate (W) is processable, a first position changing section (3) changing a carrying position of the carrier (15), and a carrying chamber (9) housing the carrier, whose position is changed therein and which carries the carrier to a film-forming chamber (10). With the above construction, it becomes possible to subject either surface to film-forming processing regardless of the carrying position of the substrate (W). Further, it becomes possible to change a film-forming surface (Wa) in the course of carrying the substrate (W).
Abstract: A docking station for male medical line connectors, including a base housing securable to a stationary surface and having a plurality of docking bays, each of which is dimensioned and contoured for respectively receiving and temporarily retaining ampules containing sterilization fluid. Each of the ampules has a chamber therein containing the sterilization fluid and an access mouth exteriorly exposed when the ampule is secured in one of the bays, and each mouth has a female medical line connection dimensioned and contoured for temporarily receiving and securing a male medical line connector thereto with the tubular tip of the male connector immersed in sterilization fluid during the period of time that the infusion tubing is disconnected from the patient.

Abstract: A firearm support for a firearm having an elongate sling extending along the firearm with two opposite ends attached in spaced relationship to the firearm between a stock end and a barrel end. The firearm support includes a support attachment in the form of clamp which may be secured to the sling at a desired position therealong. At least one support leg is pivotally secured to the support attachment and depends from the attachment whereby the leg may be pivoted from a storage position with the at least one leg extending along in alignment with the sling, to a deployed position at an angle relative to the sling for engaging a ground surface with a distal end of the at least one leg. The attachment for the shooting support is also provided with a forearm rest surface positioned on the side of the sling that faces the firearm for supporting the firearm thereon when the leg or legs are deployed.
Abstract: A shoulder surgery attachment for a surgical table having an articulated leg section with accessory attachment rails on opposite sides. An upright chair back assembly is supported at its base or bottom end thereof for attachment to the accessory attachment rails and the chair back assembly includes a headrest assembly positioned above a back support. The headrest assembly includes a removable neck support and a head fixation assembly. The headrest assembly is adjustably moveable up and down the chair back assembly. The neck support is positioned below the head fixation assembly and protrudes from the front of the headrest assembly for engagement with the back of the patient's neck. The head fixation assembly includes a forward protruding U-shaped forehead clamp having two distal rearwardly extending free ends that are adjustably secured to the headrest assembly whereby the head clamp may be adjusted for engaging the forehead of the patient to clamp the patient's head against the headrest assembly.
